Top Hizbul Mujahideen terrorist Saifullah killed in an encounter in Srinagar

Saifullah Mir, the top terrorist of Hizbul Mujahideen, killed by security forces in an encounter in Rangreth, Srinagar on Sunday, November 1.
IG of Police, Kashmir, Vijay Kumar said that they had got information that some terrorists who had come for south Kashmir are hiding in the area in Rangreth.
“It was a joint-operation by Police, CRPF and later Army also joined,” he said.
Vijay Kumar said that one terrorist was killed and another captured alive during the encounter.
Vijay Kumar said the killing of Saifullah, who was also listed as A++ category terrorist is a ‘big success’ for the security forces.
Saifullah is the second Hizbul top terrorist killed in an operation this year. Earlier in May, Riyaz Naikoo was also killed in an encounter in Pulwama.
Saifullah was also the last surviving terrorist from the Burhan Wani group. Saifullah had taken over the leadership of Hizbul Mujahideen after the encounter of Riyaz Naikoo.
