This new Rath Yatra will carry 613 Kg bronze bell and idols of Lord Ram, Sita, Lakshman, Hanuman from Rameshwaram to Ayodhya

This Ratha Yatra from Tamil Nadu to Ayodhya is entirely different. This Ratham carries a Bronze bell weighing 613 kilogram and idols of Ram, Sita, Lakshman , Hanuman to Ayodya Ram Mandir.
Earlier, the then BJP president L K Advani took Ratha yatra from Kanyakumari to Kashmir for the construction of Ram mandir at his Janma bhoomi where babri masjid was built by the invaders. The Kar seva, demolition of controversial structure, and the favourable SC’s verdict are all history. Prime Minister Modi has laid the foundation stone on August 5th this year. The construction is going in full swing. Donations for the temple have been pouring from the length and breadth of the globe. Everybody wants their contribution on the mandir construction. Devotees have been donating cash, gold, silver, construction materials and all.
Pilgrim city of Rameswaram is connected to epic Ramayanam. Lord Ram and his Vanara parivar laid a bridge connecting Sri Lanka where Sita was confined in Ashoka Vanam by demon Raavan. In Rameswaram , Lord Sri Ram performed pooja. Pilgrims from North come to Rameswaram and people from South India go to Kasi. There was a cultural, historical , geographical link between north and south in Ramayan days.
Rajalakshmi Mandha, General Secretary of Chennai based Legal Rights Group made efforts to donate a bronze bell and idols of Ram, Sita, Lakshman, Hanuman to Ayodhya. Accordingly, a 613 kilo ram bronze bell, Ram, Sita, Lakshman, Hanuman, Vinayagar idols in copper metal were made. They were taken in a well decorated Ratha (Chariot) to Ayodhya. Before that, special poojas were performed in front of Ramanathar Mandir at Rameswaram.
South Zone BJP Election in-charge Nainar Nagendran, Ramanathapuram district president Muralidharan flagged off the Rath yatra on 17th September coinciding with the birthday of PM Modi. It would pass through cities of Tamil Nadu and other states. People have a glimpse of the bell and other idols en-route Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh.
In Tamil Nadu, cadres celebrated Modi’s birth day this year in a grand manner that is the self-evidence of his growing mass acceptance and popularity in Tamil Nadu.
Another bronze bell weighing 600 kilogram is being made at Eral Ramakrishna Nadar vessel merchant store. Bells from Andhra and other states would also be installed at the proposed Ram Mandir.
