The Delhi Police Crime Branch investigation has found that the Shaheen Bagh shooter Kapil Gujjar was a member of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). Speaking to the media Rajesh Deo, DCP Crime Branch said that their initial investigation has found some photos from Kapil’s phone that establish that he was a member of AAP. He has also confessed that he and his father joined AAP a year ago, said the DCP. The police have have taken his remand for 2 days.

The police have found certain pictures on the mobile phone of Kapil Gujjar, who opened fire in Shaheen Bagh area on February 1. In these pictures, Kapil can be seen with AAP leaders such as Atishi and Sanjay Singh. Kapil can be seen joining the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), a year ago in the pictures that have been recovered from his phone. Kapil had joined AAP along with his father and several others.

It can be recalled that when the shoot-out happened and Kapil Gujjar was apprehended, several opposition leaders from the Congress and AAP and media anchors had termed it as Hindutva terrorism and blamed BJP for the same. Islamic radicals and Communists too had used the incident to tarnish the image of Hindus. AAP leader and RS MP Sanjay Singh had even blamed Amit Shah for Shaheen Bagh shooting. However, ever since the expose each one of them has been silent or trying to obfuscate the finding.

Addressing the media on the expose, Union Minister Prakash Javadekar has said that this is not a casual photo. Kapil Gujjar was joining Aam Aadmi Party and Sanjay Singh welcomed him. This shows how AAP instigates the youth and misuses them. Hence, AAP stands exposed before people of Delhi, said Prakash Javadekar.

AAP attempt to divert attention from Sharjeel Imam

It is now being said that the entire shootout at Shaheen Bagh was orchestrated by the AAP itself to whitewash the ‘cut-off’ Northeast narrative spilled by The Wire Columnist Sharjeel Imam. The agenda behind Shaheen Bagh and the the Islamic supremacist nature of the anti-CAA protests was made public by Sharjeel Imam.

Speaking at Shaheen Bagh he had said that Muslims from various parts of India have to congregate at the Siliguri corridor aka Chicken’s Neck and cut-off Northeast and Assam from the rest of India. This was also the agenda of many Islamic leaders of pre-partition India.

The video of Sharjeel’s speech went viral and embarrassed all his supported including the AAP which had stood behind the Shaheen Bagh protests against CAA. Sharjeel’s anti-India speech had punctured the carefully orchestrated anti-CAA protests at Shaheen Bagh. The image of the protests took a beating and something had to be done before the Delhi elections to shore up the protests against the Central Government.

Observers now say it was then that the AAP hatched a plan to counter the arrest of Sharjeel Imam with a stage-managed shootout and blame Hindus and BJP for the same. As expected, as soon as the shoot-out was done the same AAP leaders had jumped into the fray and blamed ‘Hindutva’ terrorists inspired by a BJP leaders speech. Now that the AAP agenda has been exposed again, the party is blaming the police for working under the directions of HM Amit Shah even when the photos have revealed the truth.

#AAPkeTerrorists number 1 trend on Twitter

After Delhi Police exposed the identity and affiliation of Shaheen Bagh shooter, #AAPkeTerrorists has been trending on Twitter at the number 1 spot. Netizens are questioning the AAP for driving a wedge between people of the state for votes. The timing of the shoot-out and the way AAP stood by Shaheen Bagh has also been questioned by all.
