Tribute to the Divine Soul
 
With a call to follow the ideals of Swami Satyamitranand Giri, scores of senior saints, Governors of six states, Chief Ministers and leading personalities from different sections of the society pay rich tribute to the renwoned saint on June 10
 
Haridwar: “Pujya Swami Satyamitranand Giri Maharaj was a divine soul who was dedicated to the Hindu cause and cautioned the governments time to time on vital issues including Shri Ramjanmabhoomi. He awakened the Hindu society on the reconstruction of Shri Ram Mandir,” said RSS Sarsanghachalak Shri Mohan Bhagwat while paying tribute to the renowned saint on July 10. Swami Satyamitranand Giri had breathed his last on June 25.

The Shodashi Bhandara and condolence meeting were attended by hundreds of saints and leading personalities from politics, social and religious organisations. Governors of six states and Chief Ministers of Uttarakhand Shri Trivendra Rawat and Haryana Shri Manohar Lal, RSS Uttar Kshetra Sanghachalak Dr Bajranglal Gupt, VHP president Justice (retd) VS Kokaje, working president Shri Alok Kumar and many other distinguished personalities were present.
 
President of Akhara Parishad Swami Narendra Giri Maharaj, Yoga guru Baba Ramdev, Acharya Mahamandaleshwar Swami Avadheshanand Giri were also present. President of India Shri Ram Nath Kovind, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Lok Sabha Speaker Shri Om Birla, Home Minister Shri Amit Shah and Lata Mangeshkar paid their tribute by sending condolence messages.
 
Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev said fulfilling the incomplete desire for the reconstruction of Shri Ram Temple in Ayodhya at the earliest would be the best tribute to Swami Satyamitranand ji. Governor of Uttarakhand Baby Rani Maurya described Swamiji as the true son of Bharatmata as his entire life was dedicated to public welfare. Chief Minister Shri Trivendra Singh Rawat stressed the need to imbibe the ideals of Swamiji.
 
Governor of Goa Smt Mridula Sinha said Swami Satyamitranand Giri would always be remembered for dedicating his life to the service of underprivileged people. Chief of Gayatri Parivar Dr Pranav Pandya described Swamiji as the guide of the society. Governor of Jharkhand Smt Draupadi Murmu said Swamiji was not only a spiritual leader but a social reformer too. Governor of Bihar Shri Lalji Tandon said Swamiji was an inspiration for countless people. Governor of Sikkim Shri Ganga Prasad said Swamiji dedicated his life to the service of the needy people. Governor of Meghalaya Shri Tathagat Roy described him a great soul.
 
Chief Minister of Haryana Shri Manohar Lal described Swamiji as the ‘utkrishta saint’. He offered his help if somebody builds Bharatmata Temple in his state. Former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan described him as the well-wisher of the economically deprived. Shia cleric Kokab Mustafa stressed the need to follow the path shown by Swamiji.
 
President of the Akhara Parishad Shri Mahant Narendra Giri Maharaj said Swamiji was an inspiration for the saints also. General secretary of the Akhara Parishad Shri Mahant Harigiri Maharaj said the soul of divine personalities never dies. Mahaman daleshwar Swami Balkanand Giri said Swamiji always thought for contribution to nation-building.
