NEW DELHI: Ahead of its public bidding window opening from October 21 to October 23, 2026, Jio Platforms’ upcoming initial public offering has reportedly attracted nearly Rs 2.5 lakh crore in non-binding institutional commitments. The issue, which is structured entirely as a fresh issue of shares, represents the largest stock market debut in Indian corporate history.
The anchor and institutional allocations have witnessed interest from top-tier sovereign wealth funds—including the Government of Singapore Investment Corporation (GIC), Norway’s Norges Bank Investment Management, the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA), and the Qatar Investment Authority (QIA). Global long-only asset managers such as BlackRock, Fidelity Investments, and Capital Group have also lined up for allocations alongside India’s premier domestic institutional investors, led by the Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC), SBI Mutual Fund, and HDFC Mutual Fund.

The net proceeds from the fresh issue will primarily be deployed toward the prepayment and full/partial repayment of Rs 27,500 crore in outstanding borrowings availed by its core operating subsidiary, Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited (RJIL), significantly strengthening the company’s balance sheet.
Valuation and Monetisation Roadmap Led by Chairman Akash Ambani and backed by strategic tech giants Meta and Google, Jio Platforms commands a total user base exceeding 533 million subscribers as of mid-2026. The public offering values the conglomerate at approximately $108.3 billion, positioning Jio as India’s fourth-largest listed entity by market capitalisation, behind parent Reliance Industries, Bharti Airtel, and HDFC Bank.
While traditional mobile connectivity remains the cash-flow engine for the group, market analysts note that Jio’s long-term value expansion hinges on monetizing digital applications, cloud-native enterprise services, 5G fixed-wireless access (FWA), and emerging AI data center infrastructure. Early grey market trends suggest a listing premium hovering near 20 per cent, reflecting market confidence in the enterprise’s ability to drive sustained ARPU (average revenue per user) growth through future tariff rationalization and high-margin enterprise solutions.
