The Hindu Resurgence
Apropos the editorial (Resurgence Despite Resistance), Organiser, September 23, 2018, rightly points out that the people (liberals, seculars, and Marxists) are intolerant towards anything that is Hindu, deny proud Hindus even the right to exist and term them as intolerant. It happens because these people try to apply Anglo-Saxon intellectual categories to the ancient Dharmik tradition. This lapse in the process of understanding Hindus results in hating them. However, an event like World Hindu Congress presents an occasion to unite Hindus. Consolidating such efforts is difficult because the larger intelligentsia, which fails to understand the inclusive and accommodative Hindu thought dubs it as sectarian.

Celebrating ‘Universal Brotherhood’
Apropos the cover story (Celebration of ‘Universal Brotherhood’), Organiser, September 23, 2018, provides comprehensive, exclusive content about the 2nd World Hindu Congress in Chicago. It is great to know that the magazine sent its representative to Chicago. The various efforts made by the Diaspora Hindus are endearing, and it fills us with the hope that the Hindu resurgence is near in future. The call given for a permanent secretariat for Hindu Rights is a remarkable move. It was also great to know through the cover story that Bruce Rauner, Governor of the State of Illinois issued a Proclamation declaring September 11 as Swami Vivekananda Day in the state.

Fake Secularism

Rahul Gandhi is exhibited as a Shiva Bhakta on posters during his election tour in Madhya Pradesh. What is wrong with it if the Chief Ministers of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana could put skull caps on their head and face the crowds posing as though they are offering prayers to Allah in the same posture as Muslims do? Rahul Gandhi is soliciting Hindu votes. The TDP and TRS Chief Ministers and other secular leaders are seeking Muslims votes. They organise Iftar parties, build Haj Houses and distribute gifts on Ramzan all these at government expense. This is how secularism is practised in India. Dr T.H. Chowdary, Secunderabad

Welcome Move
Apropos the report (Lecture Series to convey RSS Perspective), Organiser, September 9, 2018, I welcome the three-day lecture series of RSS Sarsanghachalak Shri Mohan Bhagwat in New Delhi from September 17 to 19. The invitation to the leaders from various ways of worship, major political parties, film industry, business, retired chiefs of armed forces, ambassadors from over 60 countries, is a good initiative and this will prove to be a milestone.

Perfect Comparison
Apropos (9/11 Vs 9/11: Legacy and Lessons) Organiser September 16, 2018, I appreciate the comparison between 9/11 of 1893 and 9/11 of 2001. On September 11, 1893, Swami Vivekananda made a speech at Parliament of Religions in Chicago giving the message of peace and tolerance of Hinduism, while on September 11, 2001 Osama bin Laden preached the message of terrorism and intolerance by killing innocent people in New York. In Parliament of Religions, Swami Vivekananda was reportedly asked to explain how the cows of Krishna followed him on hearing his flute. At this Swami Ji explained nicely. I am myself a Krishna Bhakat. There are some Shabads in Shri Guru Granth Sahib about Lord Krishna. I always sing these Shabads in the Gurdwaras. We used to live in New Zealand and I sang these Shabads in Gurdwaras. In Australia also I sing these Shabads.

Thwart Fake News Creators
Apropos (Fake Foreign Aid to Cover Up Failures), Organiser, September 9, 2018, the article reveals how communists’ dirty mind works even during a disaster. It is pathetic that instead of taking control of flood-hit situation, the Chief Minister of Kerala was busy in discussing aid of UAE. He was blaming and patronising media and left-minded people to debate why Modiji refused aid. He saw to it that people’s mind diverted from his failure to handle the flood. The communists put up a banner thanking UAE and fully ignored help of the army and RSS volunteers who worked selflessly throughout the floods. Such a blatant lie of CM, finally UAE had to come out and say there was no aid nor was it discussed. It is time to thwart fake news politicians.
