New Delhi: RSS Sarsanghachalak Shri Mohan Bhagwat and Sarkaryavah Shri Bhaiyaji Joshi described the passing away of leading Jain saint Acharya Tarun Sagar Maharaj as an irreparable loss for the entire country, society and the humanity. In their joint tribute, they said: “The sad departure to the heavenly abode, of the great visionary and revolutionary sage Munishree Tarun Sagar ji Maharaj, is very painful for all of us. His sudden, demise at such a young age is an irreparable loss for the entire country, society and humanity, especially for the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh. His famous discourse, popularly known as ‘Kadve Bol’ was a torchbearer for the entire society always in tune with the time. His approach was very integrative and by his behaviour, he used to bring together all, which would always be an inspiration for everyone. We pray The Almighty to bless us to bear this unbearable loss and that we pursue the pious path shown by him. We pay our humble tribute in his holy remembrance.
Acharya Tarun Sagar Maharaj
It is to be noted that Tarun Sagar Maharaj passed away on September 1 at the age of 51. He was not keeping well and was earlier admitted to a private hospital in Vaishali. A few days ago, he had decided to come to the Radhapuri Temple in Krishna Nagar, where he died at around 3.18 am on September 1 morning. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Rajnath Singh also condoled the death of the Jain saint. Deeply pained by the untimely demise of Muni Tarun Sagar Ji Maharaj. We will always remember him for his rich ideals, compassion and contribution to society. His noble teachings will continue inspiring people. My thoughts are with the Jain community and his countless disciples,” Shri Modi tweeted.
Shri Tarun Sagar was born as Pawan Kumar Jain on June 26, 1967 in Madhya Pradesh. He was initiated as a ‘Kshullak’ when he was 13 and brought to the order of monks by Acharya Pushpadantsagar on July 20, 1988 in Bagidora, Rajasthan.
