On May 4, 2018, Akhil Bharatiya Prachar Pramukh of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, Shri Arun Kumar issued the following statement regarding a fake news circulated in the media regarding a meeting of Sarsanghchalak Shri Mohan Bhagwat:
“A news item which has been published referring to a meeting of Sarsanghchalak Dr. Mohanrao Bhagwat in Delhi recently is totally baseless and misguiding. No such meeting was ever held in Delhi during the last few days where anything about BJP”s Gram Swaraj Abhiyan was said. On the issue of social harmony, the RSS” stand is well-known. We do not accept any kind of caste based discrimination. Since its inception, the RSS has been votary of “One Temple, One Well and One Cremation ground ” for all. The RSS has been working towards creating a cohesive society on the basis of love and affection where we want everyone to live their day to day life in harmony without any caste based discrimination.”
A fake news has been propogated by media on Friday stating that Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh Sarsanghchalak Mohan Bhagwat has slammed Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)”s Dalit-outreach programme.
