Save Kashmir’s Heritage
Apropos the article titled ‘Who cries when a Hindu dies?’ by Martand Jha in Organiser dated July 30. Kashmir has a rich Hindu heritage having Shankaracharya Temple, Shiva temples, Amarnath Cave,Raghunath Temple,Vaishnodevi and innumerable old depilated temples across the State and in Pakistan occupied Kashmir. It was very painful to hear the jihadi attack on Amarnath pilgrims in which eight pilgrims lost their lives. When one Akhlak was killed the entire secular brigade and intellectuals raised a hue and cry shouted at the top of their voice as though the country was under siege. The killing of Amarnath pilgrims did not get the attention from the secular brigade or award wapsi gang, sad at the way Hindu lives are looked at in this nation. It is high time that the Modi Government steps in and help the Hindus to stand up for their right to live without fear, practice their religion, follow rituals and live with their head held high in Kashmir and the rest of India.

Condemn Vociferously
We must condemn with one voice all cowards and fanatic elements, be they the Islamic state or the Taliban or the gau rakshak terror brigades. These regressive agents masquerading as religious forces want to pull us back to the dark medieval ages. These cowards are on the prowl from Una to Amarnath to find soft targets to lynch humanity. Indeed they want to replace democracy by mob rule and humanism by cannibalism. We should have zero tolerance towards such intolerant forces.

Strike at the Root
The recent terror attack on Amarnath pilgrims was aimed at creating communal tension in the country. The terrorist are brain washed in the name of religion. Unfortunately terror elements are now attacking all over the world, without fear of consequences . Globalisation has resulted in the globalisation of terror attacks too. Condemning militancy or calling them cowards etc will not solve the problem. The root cause of terror must be eliminated for the safety of mankind. Education , true religion and social awareness in the right spirit are the need of the hour.

Fight your own war
This refers to the article titled ‘We have to fight our own war against terror’ by Chalasani Narendar in Organiser dated June 25. It may be added , that it is in fact Islamic
terror, which has assumed global dimensions. We the Hindus have been victims of Islamic terror for more than one thousand years, but afraid of calling it Islamic. As per ancient Buddhist literature out of 16 Mahajanapadas of Aryavarta (the ancient name of country), Gandhara (Afghanistan) and Kamboja (Central Asia) were part of India. With the creation of Pakistan in 1947, the existing truncated Bharat has been reduced to half of its original size. Even this truncated Bharat, does not belong to the Hindus, and is bearing the burden of 20 crore Muslims openly involved in Islamic terror and behaving like Pakistanis. Still we are afraid of naming them, as is clear from the write-up under reference. We would be able to fight are own war, only, if we make our truncated Bharat constitutionally as a Hindu and non–Muslim country. We are handicapped by an anti-Hindu and anti-national Constitution, which must be changed.

Living in a Fool’s Paradise If Bahujan Samaj Party supremo Mayawati believes that her dramatic resignation from the Rajya Sabha membership will help her to consolidate her hold on the Scheduled Caste Community , then she is banking too much on one single act. In quitting the House , she declared that she was doing so because she was not allowed to speak her mind on issues relating to the welfare of her community– particularly , on the supposed rise of violence against the people of this group in Uttar Pradesh. She accused the Chair and the Members of the BJP in the Rajya Sabha of sabotaging her speech .If Mayawati is indeed keen to retain her hold on the community , she must work for the welfare of SC and ST rather than just fill her coffers. Although she got an opportunity to work for the welfare of her community but she nothing for them. All she did was to play on their fears and the history of persecution at the hands of the upper caste members. If she thinks that by resigning from the Rajya Sabha she will be able to gain emotional sympathy of the people of her community and would win the 2019 Lok Sabha elections , she is living in a fool’s paradise. |
China, keep off
Not long ago China had asserted that it would not interfere in the Kashmir issue. But now China has changed its stance and says that it wants to play a constructive role in the resolution of the dispute. China should not mediate in India’s affairs. Kashmir is an integral part of India. The only dispute is with regard to Pakistan occupied Kashmir. It should be returned to India.

Jihadi Mamata
This refers to the article ‘Bengal becoming a jihadi state’ by Jisnu Basu in Organiser dated July 23. The pogrom at Basirhat in north 24 Parganas district reflects the complete breakdown of law and order system in West Bengal. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has failed to take strict action against the fringe elements, but blamed the BJP for it. The perpetrators of violence and murderers of Hindus alike are still on the loose. It seems that Banerjee is so much concerned about minority appeasement that she didn’t try to protect the lives of the Hindus in peril. There must be harsh punishment for those who are responsible for this heinous crime and the death of innocents.

Stop Mediation
It is silly of China to offer mediation between India and Pakistan on the Kashmir issue. In the first place , India has reiterated on multiple occasions that the Kashmir dispute is a bilateral one with Pakistan and that both nations have committed themselves through a binding agreement to
resolving it without any outside intervention. The international community has also come around to this view, although there had been sporadic attempts by certain nations in the past to meddle in the affair. New Delhi has consistently maintained that it is ready to discuss and resolve all matters with Islamabad , including that of Kashmir, provided Pakistan stops fomenting terrorism in India. If at all Beijing is keen on seeing good neighbourly relations between India and Pakistan—as it keeps claiming it is—then it must use its influence with the latter and persuade it to abandon the dangerous path of giving shelter to terrorists and praising their actions against Indian interests.
