A spate of violent incidents by Muslims in Bengal enjoying patronage of the Mamata Banerjee government has brought the state to verge of being a jihadi state

Jisnu Basu from Kolkata
In West Bengal towns like Baduria, Bashirhat and Swarupnagar have been burning. One after another Hindu village has been looted. Shops of Hindus on the both sides of Barasat Taki road ransacked and set ablaze. Role of  the police has been that of a mere spectators. Hundreds of Hindus girls have been molested. Local Hindus have been trying to fight  the deadly fundamentalists in their humble capacity. The situation was exactly like Kolkata or Naliakhali in 1946. In this situation Hon’ble Governor of West Bengal Keshari Nath Tripathi, intervened and asked the CM to take immediate and effective steps to control violence. Governor arranged the deployment of  three company of Central force (BSF) on July 5 evening. They Hindus of North 24 Paganas could breath  after three sleepless night.
West Bengal Chief minister Mamata Banerjee lashed out at Governor Tripathy in an unprecedented public outburst on July 5. That was the first news in “responsible Bengali media” about the unprecedented riot started on July 3. Media aired the voice of CM criticizing role of governor, who saved the life, chastity and property of thousands of Hindus. The CM’s reaction was expected and not surprising. She confessed one very important matter when she said she had tried her best to convince some Muslim leaders. The media people immediately asked CM to disclose the name of the religious leaders. One name is repeatedly coming from the affected area. He is Abdul Motin, secretary, All India Sunnat al Jamaet.
The reason behind the fear in West Bengal is quite obvious. Siddiqullah Chowdhury, a veteran Jamat leader became minister of Independent Charge of Education, Library and Parliamentary Affairs.
On October 22, 2014, Siddiqullah Choudhury, during a rally in the historic Curzon Gate of Burdwan said that amiat Ulema-e-Hind will provide advocates to fight the UAPA case slapped against the four accused in the Khagragarh blast case. As per NIA investigation the Khagragarh blast hasd been found to be the most dangerous anti-national terrorist activities in present times.  The TMC has sent Ahmed Hassan Imran, the founder president of SIMI unit in West Bengal as a Member of Parliament. He was the key person behind the riot in Naliakhali, Canning South 24 Parganas (Anandabazar Patrika,). Firad Hakim (Boby) proudly declared his assembly constituency as “Mini Pakistan” (Dawn, April 29, 2016). He has become the most powerful person in Mamata’s cabinet. To prove the inferiority of the Hindus in West Bengal the Canvasser of ‘mini-Pakistan’  has been awarded with Chairmanship of the development boards of “Dakshineswar Skywalk project” and “ Tarakeswar Development board”. These give a clear signal to the Zihadi fundamentalists active in West Bengal. Do whatever you like against Hindus, Mamata’s administration would not touch you!
Baduria is a town and police station of Basirhat subdivision in North 24 Parganas district in the state of West Bengal, India. It is about 60 km from Kolkata by road. It is about 12 kms away from Bangladesh border. The nearest big town Basirhat is about 15 km south of it. Though in North 24 Parganas Hindus are about 73% of population in Baduria the Hindus are about 34% of the population and nearby. Bashirhat (I & II) has 30% Hindu population. The closeness to Bangladesh border has made this area a region for cattle smuggling, arms smuggling and spread of Jehadi Islamic campaign.
Police intelligence was completely failed. The failure of the administration was as expected. West Bengal Government has unofficial instruction that no Islamic mob should be intervened. This happened in Left regime as Islamic mob went on rampage for 3 days on 6 to 8 September 2007 at nearby Deganga in the same district. During TMC regime, whether it is Kaliachak or Dhulagarh incidents, the police remained calm. Even after the Islamic mob burnt six police vehicles, assaulted senior officials, but police remained stranded at their barracks.  It looked like an Islamic mob in Saudi Arabia. The slogan heard in front of Baduria Police station was Muslim war cry – Nara e takdir, Allahu akbar. A strange slogan later was also heard – Aryajati Bharat theke Dur hato – Aryans go away from India. There must be a very cunning campaign by Islamists here as they replaced the word ‘Hindu’ to ‘Aryans’. The crowd started violent attack on properties, burning 6 police vehicles and an ambulance of the Municipality. The violence then spread over different areas. Angry Muslim mobs set fire to shops and houses belonging to Hindus in Baduria, Swarupnagar and Taki blocks of the district bordering Bangladesh. The car of the additional police superintendent of the district was also attacked on Tuesday. Additional Police Superintendent was assaulted. More than 100 houses and shops have been looted, burnt.
Jihadis threw bomb in Nirjapur Milan Chakra club building. Fundamentalists of Kaukra kachusa village set ablaze the club house. They attacked the Bara mandir of Basirhat but common people protested and they failed to do so. They called “ Rail roko” in Chapapukur, Maltipur, Labutala, Bhasila, Haroah Road Rail stations, They vandalized 160 shops of Tetuliya bazaar. About 25 shops of Ramchandrapur and 8 Hindus house were looted and  vandalized by them. They destroyed 5 poltry firms in Shipati
village.
Jihadis protested with weapons in Baduriya Bazar and vamdalized 8/10 Hindu houses. Muslims with the Pakistani flag slogan as Aryas dur hatho, Modi hatho in the Bhasila area. They looted and burnt the Hindu shops of Shayesta nagar, They attacked and vandalized the Malancha Bazar shop and organization of Minakha station.
TMC backed fundamentalist goons gathered from different area in the Dilip Sthal field and started processions. They vandalized Maynakhola Kali temple and destroyed the idol.
On July 5 the situation was becoming normal due to intervention of BSF in the villages. At around 3 pm a violent mob of fundamentalist was coming from Taki towards Bashirhat. Karkik Ghosh, a known BJP activist had a tea stall at Tetra on Taki road. Kartick Ghosh, 68, used to discuss about BJP/ Sangh with the customers of his tea stall. Kartick had been picked up from his tea stalled. He was chopped with sharp weapons in open daylight on Taki road. Kartick was sent to Barasat district hospital after 2 hours. He had been shifted to RG Kar state hospital at night. Kartick Ghosh died due to excessive bleeding and multi-organ failure at 6 am on July 6.
It is very unfortunate that press in Bengal, both print and electronic, remained silent through the four day period of rioting by Islamic mob. No newspaper or TV Channel reported anything. Though the buses and local trains remained cancelled or disrupted throughout these days, the markets and offices remained closed in a large region so close to Kolkata, there was no mention in the mainstream media.                               n
