Mumbai: RSS Sarsanghachalak Shri Mohan Bhagwat was presented with a painting depicting Mauryan Emperor Chandragupta with Chanakya at a function organised by Janaseva Kendra. Shri Vasudev Kamat, the artist, while presenting his work to Shri Bhagwat said the painting shows Chanakya speaking to Chandragupta about Akhand Bharat. Shri Bhagwat spoke about the role of Sangh workers and their commitment to the society.
BMS 18 Triennial Conference to discuss Alternative Model of Development
New Delhi: The 18th Triennial Conference to be held in Kanpur from May 22 to 24 will discuss the alternative model of development. “The BMS rejects the GDP based model of development. India needs a development model which is rooted in Indian ethos. Hence, we will discuss such an alternative model of development at our conference involving economists. After initiating discussion on the topic at the conference, the topic will further be discussed in different parts of the country,” said RSS Uttar Kshetra organising secretary Shri Pawan Kumar while talking to Organiser.
He said the conference will also discuss the problems faced by the working women. There will be resolutions on social security, contract labour, issues of worker’s, schemes etc. The notable issue in the meeting will on climate change and a discussion will be held on Paris Accord. About 5,000 delegates from different parts of the country are expected to participate in the conference.
Indo-Nepal relationship is ancient
Dehradun: RSS Sah Sarkaryavah Shri Dattatreya Hosabale said the relationship between Bharat-Nepal is very ancient. He was addressing the concluding session of a two-day seminar organised jointly by International Cooperation Council, India and Policy Research Establishment, Nepal at the Forest Research Institute (FRI) ?on April 12. “We are one in
cultural, social, traditions, religious and spiritual form and dharmic journey. Our religious texts and epics are one. Therefore, our relationship is strong. Our civilisation, historicity, bread and daughter relation are also similar. Swami Vivekananda had said that human beings are the problem; human beings are the solution. We should work together without hesitation in every field and remain strong, reliable,” he said.
After Partition in 1947, Pakistan and Bangladesh changed their culture, path and separated themselves on the basis of religion. But Bharat and Nepal did not do this. Despite being separate nations, our borders are open. In the field of defence and security and on open border both are moving ahead and will continue to work with firm belief. Action was taken in Bhutan and Myanmar in collaboration with the Government of India to curb terrorism. Similar, expectations will also be from Nepal in this regard. Former Indian Ambassador to Nepal Shri Ranjit Ray presided over the function. Former Army Chief of Nepal General Gaurav Shamsher Jang Bahadur Rana, former Foreign Secretary of India Shri Shashank, secretary general of International Cooperation Council Shri Shyam Parande were also present.
Sharing with Others Makes us Different
Agra: “Treating everyone equal is our age old tradition. We believe in sharing our resources with others. This unique thinking basically makes us different,” said RSS Sah Sarkaryavah Dr Krishna Gopal, while inaugurating the newly constructed building of Maghrani Vanvasi Girls Hostel, a project run by Sewa Prakalp Sansthan on April 9. Specially the girls from north eastern states stay in the hostel for their studies.
Dr Gopal said if the national feeling is strengthened right from the childhood, the anti-national activities do not get support. “There are efforts for thousands of years to hit our cultural roots and also to instigate conflicts on the basis of anti-national feelings. But as the swayamsevaks started sewa activities in north-eastern states, the destructive elements started running away. The conflicts generated among people of north-eastern states were foiled by the local people only. The sewa activities in north-eastern states, which began with six students have now crossed over 2,000 service projects in the region,” he said.
Noted Kathavachak Shri Atul Krishna Bhardwaj, national vice president of the Kalyan Ashram Sushri Neelima Patte and social activists Shri Nandkishore Maghrani and Shri Sahendra Sachdeva also spoke. RSS Akhil Bharatiya Pracharak Pramukh Shri Suresh Chandra, Braj Prant Pracharak Dr Harish and Kalyan Ashram Akhil Bharatiya Swasthya Pramukh Dr Pankaj Bhatia were also present on the occasion.
Sangh Parichaya Yatra in Haryana Villages
Faridabad: A group of 262 swayamsevaks in Ballabhgarh on April 10 conducted a Sangh Parichaya Yatra. The swayamsevaks riding on 147 bikes, carrying saffron flags, shouting the slogans of Bharat Mata ki Jai, Vandemataram and singing patriotic songs started the Yatra from Chandrawali Village and passed through various villages including Machhagarh, Dayalpur, Chhayansa, Baghpur, Mohana, Hirapur, Niryala, Fatehpur, Billach, Deeg, Pyala, Seekari, Malerana, Sahupura, etc.
Prior to the beginning of the Yatra Sah Vibhag Sanghachalak Dr Arvind Sood said villages are our identity and there should be efforts that there is a Sangh Shakha in every village. Sah Prant Bauddhik Pramukh Shri Gangashankar Mishra addressed the swayamsevaks and the villagers in Chhanyasa and Baghpur. He said our culture, sanskars and traditions are still safe in the villages.
He stressed the need on building a harmonious society. He said the unit and integrity of the nation is not safe until we continue to fight over the pity issues of caste, community etc. The villagers welcomed the Yatra by showering flower petals.
