Vilay Diwas was celebrated all over the country on October 26 to mark the Accession of Jammu & Kashmir in Indian Union on October 26, 1947. In Delhi, the main function was held at Nehru Memorial Museum and Library and was addressed by Union Minister of State in PMO Dr Jitendra Singh, chairman of J&K Study Centre Shri Jawaharlal Kaul and others. There are reports of organising similar functions across the country including Bhopal, by the BJP and other organisations.
