P. Jayarajan, CPM Secretary of Kannur, the District famous for CPM’s killer politics, has justified his party’s political violence. Addressing an election meeting on April 24  in Kattakkada, Thiruvananthapuram District, he said, “ if debt keep on coming, we have to settle them”. By ‘debt’ he means ‘attack on his party men’.  It is significant that he is currently on bail in connection of the murder of RSS leader Kathiroor Manoj. He got bail on conditions: He should not enter Kannur District for
two months or till the charge sheet was filed.
Jayarajan’s bail applications were always supported by his heart ailment.  There were allegations that he preferred to stick on to hospital despite doctors’ stand that he was okay.
His debt statement shocked the people of Kerala since it was an open and obvious justification of CPM’s murder politics. BJP State chief Kummanam Rajasekharan has denounced the statement in strong words. Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala said, Jayarajans’ statement confirmed CPM’s involvement in the violent politics. He demanded action against Jayarajan. He said, government would study the controversial speech.
Reports suggest that Jayarajan and his party colleague TV Rajesh MLA will be arrested soon by CBI in connection with the murder of Muslim League activist Ariyil Shukkoor. CPM hypocrisy has been exposed as Jayarajan, a man who got bail due to heart ailment, is deployed by his party to campaign for the imminent assembly elections throughout the state. CPM speaks out that they are for political violence.
