Intro : Time has come to crush the head of serpentine and destroy its eggs if laid in our country.

A lot has been written, debated and discussed about the word “Terrorism”. Although it has got global reach but still has a single particular ideology and an ethnocentric belief. In the present perspective, if we analyse the terror activities which are imposed upon and carried out against our country by our neighbour in west, we can conclude that Islamic Republic of Pakistan is an epicenter of Jihadi Terrorism.
Pakistan has remained under the rule of boots for most of time since its inception. To further extend, strengthen and legitimise their rule, the military dictators have made people believed of Pakistan that Bharat is their enemy and hence created terrorism as an important instrument of their foreign policy. Their policy has worked successfully in arm twisting USA to extract billions of dollars, spread terror in Bharat and devastate Afghanistan.
In the last two decades ISI has developed immensely in terms of terror infrastructure with the help of huge foreign aid. The new terror dimension of ISI with regard to Bharat is Jammu and Punjab region. In a recent debate over terrorism on an English news channel, a former brigadier of Pakistani Army boasted of having negotiated with ISIS to target Bharat and said, “ISIS is coming to Bharat”. Recent spurt in terror activities in these areas show eagerness of ISI to shed blood and foment communal strife. The terrorist  Mohammed Naved (a Pakistani national) who was arrested from Udhampur in J&K has disclosed that he was instructed to kill as many as innocent civilians (Hindus) and this was best way to serve his God.  “Those handful people who support this propaganda should see the killing of thousands of Muslims by Pakistani Army in NWF areas, Pakistan Air Force killing hundreds of unarmed Muslim Bloachs along with legitimate leader of Bloachistan Nawab Akbar Bugti with missiles, thousands of urdu speaking Muslims are being killed and their women raped in Sindh in the name of ethnic cleansing, hundreds of peace loving Shia Muslims are being  killed by so called defenders of faith. Bharat is proud to have second largest Muslim population of world who consider it as their country and its citizens as their brethren.

Hamid Gul: The Legacy of Jihadi Mindset

The death of Lt Gen Hamid Gul, on August 15, 2015, of a brain haemorrhage in the mountain resort of Murree, might be a moment of grief for many in Pakistan. The reality is the former ISI chief, the Godfather of geostrategic policies of the fountainhead of terrorism, is responsible for many of the woes Pakistan is facing today. He was the one who first raised the Mujahideen in Afghanistan’s against the Soviet Union and harboured the creation of Osama Bin Laden. The instability in Afghanistan and terrorism in Afghanistan was direct offshoot of the Jihadi mindset perpetrated by policies of Gen Gul. Not only that, it was the same General who articulated and executed the proxy war policy on the eastern front in the name of Jammu and Kashmir. Creation of irregular army and running the thriving military-industrial complex was the expertise of this Pakistani superspy. He was the one who successfully used the USA to take all the finances and weaponry but at the same time hated the superpower most. At one point in 2008, the US had pondered over including his name to the United Nations’ list of international terrorists. He was instrumental in creating the Islami Jamhoori Ittehad (IJI), a conservative coalition in Pakistan, which systematically nurtured the Jihadi mindset and anti-Bharat hatred in the Pakistani society. He may be a great nationalist for some extremists in Pakistan, but there are many in Pakistan who realises the price they have to pay now because of the legacy created by General Gul. Unless Pakistan military and ISI do away with that legacy, substantial peace and stability in Pakistan and South Asia is a distant dream.    n

There are many debates in our country regarding talks with Pakistan to normalise relations. We don’t think such negotiations with Pakistani establishment at any level will yield a fruitful result in near future. If bilateral meetings with these leaders of Pakistan could not go an inch further then there is a little chance of success now. Apart from above diplomatic efforts to resolve differences, We as a country should always be cautious, alert and prepared to tackle any cunning terror attack on us. We should think ahead of terror managers. Well equipped/kept and modernised forces, improved intelligence are must to deal with such Pakistani adventurism with an iron hand. At social level all the citizens should also be alert and aware about terrorist attacks, ways to deal with them and maintain social harmony at every cost.
We should prepare ourselves as a strong Bharat and defeat the nefarious designs of terrorists, defend every inch of our soil. We should never get influenced by the nomenclature of terrorism, be it IS today or JS tomorrow, we should be united to defend our country, our citizens and our future generations. Time has come to crush the head of serpentine of terrorism and destroy its eggs if laid in our country.
