Yuva 2015: National Youth Awakening Fest at GB Pantnagar University, Uttarakhand

Vivekananda Swadhyaya Mandal and Sanskritic Chenta Parishad organised ‘Yuva 2015’ at GB Pantnagar University of Agriculture and Technology from January 12 to 15. The event marked a National Youth Conference and a National Inter-University Debate. A total of 34 universities including MPUAT Udaipur, MPKVV Rahuri, BAU Sabour Bihar, RAU Pusa Bihar, HAU Hisar, AMU Aligarh, MVD University Katra Jammu, GAU Navsari Gujarat, DAVV Indore, MLC Journalism University Bhopal, Kumaon University Uttarakhand and Petroleum University Dehradun participated with zeal.
Prominent dignitaries who marked their presence in the conference were VC Pantnagar Dr HS Dhami, Dr HC Verma from IIT Kanpur, Shri M Hanumantha Rao from Vivekanand Kendra Kanyakumari, Shri Rajendra Chaddha from Pragya Pravah, Deputy Commisionor Civil Supplies Dehra-dun Dr Shuchismita Sengupta Pandey, Sufi Singer and PM's nominee for Clean India Campaign Shri Kailash Kher, Swami Shantamananda from Ramkrishna Mission New Delhi, Pro VC Dev from Sanskriti Vishvavi-dalaya Haridwar, Dr Chinmaya Pandya and many more. Dignitaries who participated in the national debate included Dr J Kumar, Shri Ashok Beri, Shri Gajendra Singh, Shri Sunil Kheda, Shri Pavan Agarwal, Shri Harnam Singh, Shri Shiv Arora, Shri Surjeet Singh, Shri Alok Singh, Shri Sumit Doseja, etc.
Yuva provides a distinguished platform to hundreds of youth around the world to gather and unravel their talents and touch new horizons of their potentials. It also provides a rare chance to the participants to share their ideas among the think tanks from all around the nation and stand for national cause in the light of teachings and philosophies of Swami Vivekananda.
Two-day conference became a powerhouse of energy and positivity in every heart beating there. The valuable words of the prominent stalwarts not only encouraged the youth but also gave them a direction towards nation building. The rally at the very beginning gave the strong message of ‘Swachchh Bharat, Samridh Bharat’ (Clean India, prosperous India). The rally gave a small yet significant homage to the widespread Swatch Bharat Abhiyaan.
The heartwarming speeches of the luminaries not only gave a different perspective to the distinguished souls present there but also gave them sensitive social issues to ponder upon. It helped them to clear some of their conflicted confusions about life. The interactive session cleared the queries of the delegates by letting them to directly address the dignitaries and get an answer. Everyone picked up some message to take with them which they will follow in their life or rather a wish for change in their lifestyle to make it more inclined towards mental and spiritual satisfaction rather than just materialistic one. The young people which became a part of two days journey took an unsaid pledge to do something for the upliftment of the nation, to light a candle in the path of darkness, to be the bringers of hope in every situation, to be the youth this country aspires for.
Udbhav a national debate which took place on the occasion, not only gave a platform to the young minds to put forth their views but also enthralled the audience with the shower of viewpoints and some strong message to carry back home and some questions to ponder upon. By and large, the YUVA-15, the initiative of GB Pantnagar University, proved a role model and a benchmark for other universities, providing them a path to mentor the younger generation towards the noble cause of nation building.
