“In every aspect of life, from beginning to end, dharma is must. Taking all together we should work for the welfare of all. This is the real meaning of dharma,” said RSS Sarsanghachalak Shri Mohan Bhagwat while speaking at a function organised on the eve of concluding ceremony of Samadhi centenary of Saint Vasudevanand Saraswati (Tembe Swami Maharaj) on June 28, 2014. The function was organised by Shri Garudeshwar Datt Sansthan at Garudeshwar near Vadodra. He cited the example of Dr Hedgewar whom once a person asked, “you work all over India for Hinduism and culture, still I have never seen you performing puja or chanting mantras. If the Almighty asks you, what will be your explanation?” Dr Hedgewar said, “I shall tell the Almighty that I have not done a single thing for my ownself. Whatever I have done is only for the society.”
Shri Bhagwat appealed to the gathering that Swami Vasudevanand Saraswati has given the message that whatever we want we should only ask from the Almighty and should not fear from anything. On this occasion Shri Dhirubhai Joshi (president of the celebration committee), Shrimant Maharaj Samarjitsinh Gaekwad, Shri Ashok Godse, president of Shrimant Dagduseth Halwai Trust, Pune, Dr Balaji Tambe of Pune, Swami Nikhleshwearnandji Maharaj and many other dignitaries were also

DB Thengadi scheme for handloom and handicraft artisans by Gujarat Govt

$img_titleGujarat government has launched a new scheme “Dattopant Thengadi Karigar Vyaj Sahay Yojana” to help the handloom and handicraft artisans.
The scheme has been named after veteran RSS Pracharak and founder of Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh and Swadeshi Jagran Manch the late Dattopant Thengadi. Finance Minister Saurabh Patel announced the scheme that would help artisans and craftsmen, especially from Kutch to get loans up to Rs 1 lakh from banks. The Government would be guarantor for those loans. The scheme would benefit about 50,000 artisans in the State.


Summons ordered against Rahul Gandhi

The Bhiwandi Court on July 11 ordered issuing summons to Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi in the case related to his hate speech during electoral campaign. The next date of hearing is October 7. The case was filed by Shri Rajesh M Kunte of Bhiwandi who said in his petition that the Congress leader during his speech delivered on March 6 at Bhiwandi made allegations against RSS and RSS men as ‘they are killers of Gandhiji’. Referring this deliberate and motivated attempt of defaming the most nationalist organisation. This case was filed under no. “Other Miscellaneous Application No. 353 of 2014”. In the previous hearing, the court had asked for Police verification report under Section 202 of the Criminal Procedure Code to check the facts. The police report has confirmed the contents put forward by the complainant. After verifying the report the Magistrate issued the above orders.


Prof Satish Chandra Mittal to be honoured with Dr Hedgewar Pragya Samman

$img_titleNoted historian and nationalist writer Prof Satish Chandra Mittal will be honoured with Dr Hedgewar Prayga Samman 2014 by Shree Burrabazar Kumarsabha Pustakalaya. The Puraskar which consists of a cheque of Rs 51,000 and citation will be presented by RSS Sah Sarkaryavah Dr Krishna Gopal at function to be organised on August 15 in Kolkata. Born on January 1, 1938 at Kandhla town of Muzaffarnagar district of Uttar Pradesh Prof Mittal taught at History Department of Kurukshetra University for 38 years. He has authored 38 books in Hindi and 8 books in English. Presently he is national president of the Akhil Bharatiya Itihas Sankalan Yojna.


Rikhab Chand Jain is president of IVHP

 

$img_titleNoted businessman and owner of TT Limited Shri Rikhab Chand Jain was elected new president of Indraprastha Vishwa Hindu Parishad (IVHP) on July 4. Shri Neeraj Doneria and Smt Sandhya Sharma were elected as chiefs of the Bajrang Dal and Durga Vahini respectively. Shri Ram Krishna Srivastava will continue to be as general secretary and Shri Ram Niwash Gupta as treasurer with Shri Vijay Prakasha Gupta and Shri Ram Pal Singh Yadav as secretaries.
VHP is going to complete 50 years of its formation on Sri Krishna Janmastami (August 17). Keeping this in mind, Shri Gurdeen Prasad Rustagi was made secretary of the newly formed Swarna Jayanti Mahotsav Samiti. Shri Om Prakash Singhal, vice president of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad hoped that the new team would energise the organisation. “We are first Sevikas and then anything else”

 

$img_titleLok Sabha Speaker Smt Sumitra Mahajan and two ministers—External Affairs Minister Smt Sushma Swaraj and Union Minister of HRD Smt Smriti Irani—were felicitated by the Rashtra Sevika Samiti at its office in Delhi on June 30. Akhil Bharatiya Sah Karyavahika of the Samiti Smt Asha Sharma, Kshetra Nidhi Pramukh Smt Nirmal Gupta and a large gathering of Sevikas of Delhi were present on the occasion.
All the three ‘Sevikas’ were welcomed with tilak and aarti. Then they narrated their experiences how they continued to maintain relations with the organisations while working in the political field. Smt Sushma Swaraj and Smt Smriti Irani belong to Sangh families while Smt Sumitra Mahajan has been an active worker of the Rashtra Sevika Samiti. They said they never felt themselves away from the organisation and they are first sevikas and then anything else. They said they would discharge their responsibilities honestly in the interest of the nation and the society.                             —Bureau Report


Bharat Parikrama Yatra completes
Char Dham Yatra in Uttarakhand

The Bharat Prikrama padyatra by veteran RSS Pracharak Shri Sitaram Kedilaya completed the journey of four dhams in Uttarakhand on July 5. It is scheduled to enter Uttar Pradesh on August 6. The Yatra is in Uttarakhand since February 26. It took rest for one month at Sadhna Ashram in Dehradun and restarted the journey on March 30.
The Yatra reached Yamunotri on April….. where Shri Sitaramji had detailed meeting with leading saint Swami Rambharose Dasji, who is said to be performing tapasya for the last 44 years. On May…….. the Yatra reached Gangotri where the Mandir Samiti felicitated Shri Kedilaya. A detailed discussion with the Samiti members was held regarding village development. The Yatra was in Kedarnath on June 19 where head priest of the temple Shri Gangadhar welcomed him. TheYatra was in Badrinath on July 3 where there was a meeting with Dharmadhikari Shri Bhuvendnera Uniyal and head priest of the Temple Shri Ishwaran Nambudiri. In Hemkund Saheb, on July 5, Shri Kedilaya had darshan of the historic Gurudwara and the Laxman Temple.
