Instil the sense of social responsibility among women — Shantakka Tai
Nagpur: “Women are the inspiring force for family and the nation. So long as this force is not awakened, the society cannot make progress,” said Smt V Shantakka, Pramukh Sanchalika of the Rashtra Sevika Samiti, while speaking at the concluding ceremony of the Samiti’s Praveen Shiksha Varga in Nagpur on June 18. Internationally recognised Ayurveda practitioner Dr Sharduli Terwadkar was incharge of the training camp.

“We need to instil the sense of social responsibility among the women to make the country great in the world same as a mother converts her house into a temple by inculcating moral values, Shantakka Tai said. He further said that the Rashtra Sevika Samiti that came into being in 1936 with a core ideology of awakening women for social change, has been engaged in this mission through its ‘shakhas’ spread over the length and breadth of the country and even abroad.
The Samiti chief said that though good days are ahead the country was witnessing a spurt in crime against the fair sex. She said that we need to be more vigilant against these crimes to make Bharat violence free and corruption free. We need to transform ourselves before we embark upon transforming the society.
Calling for drawing inspiration from the lives of great persons like RSS founder Dr K B Hedgewar and Lokmanya Tilak she urged the Samiti activists to imbibe their ideal in their life.
In her address Dr Sharduli Terwadkar called upon the ‘sevikas’ to understand teh importance of inner strength and identify that power. She said that we can make our nation great and prosperous on the basis of this inner strength.
Congratulating Samiti for propagating motherhood, leadership and commitment to mission, Dr Terwadkar shared her experiences of South Africa. She said that the South Africans have their own culture and treatment system that initiated the young boys and girls towards their responsibility and commitment to the society and social wellbeing.
Chief of the training camp Rajashree Jani gave the report of the camp. The participating Sevikas performed various physical drills and martial arts. Two former Chiefs Pramilatai Medhe and Ushatai Chati along with Akhil Bharatiya Sharirik Pramukh Manishatai Sant, Vidarbha Prant Karyavahika Sulbhatai Gaur were prominently present on the occasion. Sangh Shiksha Varga in Manipur?
RSS Manipur Prant organised first year Sangh Shiksha Varg from April 25 April to May 16 at Bal Vidya Mandir Place compound in Imphal. The Varga was inaugurated by Shri Krishna Motilakji and Shri YB Singh, retd Principal of Government Blind School, Takyel, was the chief guest. A total of 42 shiksharthis from 26 Shakha attended the Varga. Fifteen Shikshak and 25 Prabandhaks also joined the Varga.
Akhil Bharatiya Sah Sampark Pramukh Shri Ram Madhav, organising secretary of Samskrit Bharati Shri Dinesh Kamath and many other adhikaris also guided the workers.
Dr AD Sharma, Associate Prof. at RIMS graced the concluding function as chief guest. Manipur Prant Sanghachalak Shri A Brajakumar Sharma, Zilla Sanghachalak Shri Meidhe Singh and Prant Karayavah Shri Kh Rajen Singh also shared the dais.
