Four-day Ghosh Shivir of Chittor Prant in Ajmer
“Despite
the diversity of different ways of worship, languages, traditions and dresses, the only thing that binds everyone in this country is Hindutva,” said RSS Sarsanghachalak Shri Mohan Bhagwat. He was speaking at the concluding ceremony of Chittor Prant’s four-day Ghosh Shivir held in Ajmer on February 2. Kshetra Sanghachalak Shri Purushottam Paranjape, Prant Sanghachalak Dr Bhagwati Prakash Sharma, Vibhag Sanghachalak Shri Omkar Singh Shaktawat, Shiviradhikari Shri Hemendra Shrimali also shared the dais.

The swayamsevaks who underwent training at the Shivir displayed different rachanas (forms) of the Ghosh including Meera, Tilang, Shriram, Ajeya, Sonbhadra, Shivraj, Govardhan, Shivranjani, Mewar, Udai, Chetak and others. They also displayed their skills by forming Arrow, Swastik and Sudarshan Chakra, etc.

Shri Bhagwat further said different musical instruments are played in the Ghosh and all have different tunes and play method. But since they all are based on a single base tune, it ultimately echoes a melodious sur. He said the only objective of the Sangh is ‘Bharatmata ki jai’. Everyone wants that his/her country should make progress. But our thinking of progress is based on the concept of sewa (service) and tyaga (sacrifice). Everyone who has service and sacrificial feeling and believes in the Indian culture is Hindu. There may be many ways to reach the truth, but the ultimate goal remains the same. Therefore, we say that follow your own way and respect others’ ways too. This is what is called Hindutva.

Shri Bhagwat further said truth ultimately prevails but it needs the backing of power. We have to practice what we speak to others. Quoting Swami Vivekananda he said to bend other nations and also make our own nation glorious we have to improve the life conditions for others while following the path of sewa. He said the swayam-sevaks in the Sangh Shakhas are prepared to achieve this goal in this form. This function is an example of that preparation. He said many great personalities were born on this land and they worked for awakening the society. But if we have to make Bharat a super power in the world every citizen has to live for the nation.

Prant Ghosh Pramukh Shri Kartikeya Nagar apprised the gathering of different forms of the ghosh. Shivir Karyavah Shri Vinod Melana presented details of the Shivir. Dr Pramod Saraswat, former Principal of Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College applauded the role of the RSS swayamsevaks in the upliftment of the nation.
