CPI to organise study class on Vedas, Puranas and Upanishads

With big brother CPM, in the track, forward, can tiny brother CPI, be far behind! The CPM has rediscovered Swami Vivekananda and Lord Ganesha. It displays Swamiji’s photos in all its publicity flexes. Also Ganesha was proprited with ‘HOMA’ and breaking of coconuts for successful conduct of the CPM Plenum in Palakkad. It is common knowledge that senior CPM stalwarts from EMS to today’s Kodiyeri Balakrishnan visit temples, do pujas etc. with, cloth masked faces!
Now CPI has followed suit. The CPI backed NE Balram Research Centre led by CPI Asst. Secretary C.N. Chandran is organising a three day seminar on Vedas, Puranas, and Upanishads titled ‘Bharateeyam’ from 26th to 28th January at Thiruvananthapuram.
Chandran has stated that the Vedas and Upanishads are eternal treasures and every individual of Bharat is its proud owner. He also said that for knowing Bharateeya Sanskar, knowledge of Vedas and Upanishads is absolutely essential. Our heritage should be nationalised, CPI says! The CPI state secretary has stated that centuries old Bharateeya Sanskar is not the monopoly of the Sangh Parivar. The Sangh is happy at this late realisation. Better late than never!
RSS Sarsangha-chalak Shri Mohan Bhagwat expressed deep condolences on the demise of noted literary person and activist Namdeo Dhasal. In his condolence message he said: “A true karyakarta with immense leadership qualities and intense zeal of working for the deprived sections of the society is no more with us. For last few years, many swayamsevaks had a first hand experience of his magnanimous nature and ability to take along everyone for the common cause. Perhaps he would have contributed more in building bridges among all classes of the society through mutual cooperation and warmth but all of us are helpless in front of the nature.”
