Momentous significance of Hindu demise

Dr Gautam Sen

THERE is now a very real threat of the demise of Hinduism in the territory of Bharat and it will be of historic significance for humankind, politically and spiritually. The alternative vision of faith for the survival of humanity, valiantly advanced by Swami Vivekananda, never really got off the ground, virtually suffocated by Islamised and Christianised, pseudo Hindu Indians of the Nehruvian fold. And political power in India has now been seized by Catholic interlopers, also bequeathed by the Nehru dynasty. They are wreaking havoc, denouncing Hindus as terrorists, dismayingly, with the collusion of purchased Hindus of every political stripe. Yet the political consequences of the end of Hindu India would be of momentous. It promises to be more significant than the fall of Rome, the end of the Graeco-Roman civilisation in the fifth century, indeed equal in import to the discovery of America six centuries ago.

Hindus are effectively being written out the script as the twenty first century unfolds. They survive only as the flotsam of history, neither Hindu or conscious they have ceased to be. Adherence to Hindu beliefs in daily life is virtually non existent. Even those most strident in claiming a Hindu identity often display a most un-Hindu self-regard, shocking absence of personal humility and mean-spirited vindictiveness. The much-touted, Indo-Islamic composite culture, mainly characterised by violent masculine arrogance, the denial of women’s humanity as well as the Pharaonic greed of elites, has apparently won. The ordinary Hindu, engaged in elaborate ritual, espouses mere footnotes of the faith because the main text of Hinduism is in its intellectual and moral belief system. That only survives at the very margins today and on the mere borders of verisimilitude. The hammer blows experienced by Hindus in one form or another over more than a thousand years, incessantly grisly under Islamic rule and covertly subversive under Christians, has returned to haunt them. The cancers resisted so long have turned malignant within their own body.

Judging by the exertions of the stalwarts of the HDAS and frivolous, Hindu TV evangelists very little of the substantive thought of sacred Hindu texts influences actual practice. Of course, silly chanting of politically de-contextualised, scriptural authority is standard fare. Vivekananda and Aurobindo these self-proclaimed sages are clearly not. These Hindu religious authorities are oblivious to the reality that they do not possess political competence to comprehend the wider world and know little of its history, despite displays of arrogant self-assurance that stems from status accreditation alone. In addition, some offer succour to the determined adversaries of Hinduism by treasonous activities like inter-faith dialogue and sign hugely damaging global religious concordats while conversion of Hindus proceeds apace.

The cynical and careerist, pseudo Hindu professoriate assiduously deconstructing Hinduism, with crass sexual innuendo and worse, is ensconced very profitably and comfortably abroad. These serial liars and egregious deceivers, one and all, are the shameless foot soldiers of conquering armies, demeaning and auctioning their proverbial grandmother.

Across India, virtual immunity from the law of the land is being accorded to Muslims and Christians, the phenomenon spreading from the entire south to the north and the east of the country. Outrageous violence, sometimes at the behest of foreign interests and owing to events totally unconnected to India are regarded as legitimate excuses to bring life to halt and engage in wanton carnage, often against innocent Hindu targets, recalling the Moplah genocide when the Caliphate was abolished. The failure of state governments to curb and prosecute outrageous violations of legality is justified on the grounds that upholding the law might undermine communal harmony, basically meaning the violators of the criminal statute will riot. And also vote for political parties that allow them to do so. The instincts of the federal centre are not dissimilar, indeed, worse in many respects. In fact, political parties, including the ruling coalition and civil rights groups, are inciting Islamic terrorism by fabricating charges against Hindus and accusing them of violating the human rights of Muslims. There is complete official silence on the daily humiliation of Hindus, the depiction of their sacred deities committing bestiality being defended as high art and peaceful protest and the threat of legal action to end it denounced as cultural terrorism, equated with the vilest acts of Islamic terror. And there is active connivance between state and national government that allows Christian evangelists to taunt Hindus with incendiary literature as they enter their own temples to worship.

Terrorists routinely cite events in Ayodhya and Gujarat for murdering Hindus, issues determinedly kept alive by many political parties and their civil society surrogates to fuel the fires of terrorist atrocities. Pure inventions are now also emanating from the highest governmental authorities. The home and foreign ministries, with the complicit silence of the prime minister, appear to be colluding with the Pakistani ISI and its terrorist agencies. These latter are publicly congratulating the GoI for telling lies about Hindu terrorism, which excuses own their historic, global involvement in mass murder. And the anointed Catholic claimant to rule India is also discreetly seeking to persuade foreign governments that the issue in India is Hindu terror, not serial Islamic terrorism! Shockingly, the political opposition, transfixed by the claims of this dynasty to rule, is hardly able to respond or apparently complicit itself with his party and its venal advisers. India’s social contract has broken down completely and constitutional norms no longer prevail. The time for mass civil disobedience by Hindus is long overdue.

Of the two predatory imperialisms battering Hindu India from within and without, Christianity and Islam, the winner will dominate the world. If Islam recaptures India, a possibility that could certainly take place, it will be unstoppable in its unrelenting quest for global supremacy. Hindus will provide the manpower and intellectual skills Islam lacks to take on all-comers. They will become the source of the endless supply of the equivalent of modern slaves that Islam has craved since its very inception and as Hindus had been for eight centuries. The Anglo-Americans have always regarded India as crucial to their dreams of enduring global dominion through the use of Indian manpower, a vital issue recognised long ago by Lord Curzon. It motivated Winston Churchill’s Victorian imperial instincts to retain India at all cost and the Cold War US conviction that a future global war could only be fought with Indian mercenaries, the source of the second largest numbers of fighting men during WWII. The ownership of India will change the global balance of power.
