SUDARSHANJI has shown us a path through his personal conduct. This is also the message of his life. Following that path and imbibing that message in the Sangh work now will be the right tribute to that departed soul,” said RSS Sarkaryavah Shri Bhaiyaji Joshi while paying tribute to former RSS Sarsanghachalak KS Sudarshan, who passed away on September 15 in Raipur, Chhattisgarh. Shri Joshi was speaking at a condolence meeting organised in New Delhi on September 30, by Delhi Prant at the jam-packed Talkatora Stadium.
Prominent among those who paid tribute to Sudarshanji at the condolence meeting included veteran VHP leader Shri Ashok Singhal, BJP president Shri Nitin Gadkari, noted ideologue Dr David Frawley, who is popularly known as Vamdev Shastri, SAD Rajya Sabha MP Sardar Tarlochan Singh, Home Minister of Tibetan Government in Exile Smt Dolma Gayeri, noted industrialist and patron of Mahabodhi Society of India Shri BK Modi, Uttar Kshetra Sanghachalak Dr Bajranglal Gupt, editor of Punjab Kesari Shri Ashwini Kumar, former LG of Delhi Shri Vijay Kapur, BJP leader Shri Ravi Shankar Prasad, Jain saint Dr Lokesh Muni, noted musician Shri Vasimuddin Dagar, Sah Prant Sanghachalak of Delhi Dr SS Agrawal, president of All India Imam Organisation Maulana Umer Ahmed Iliyasi, president of Poor Christian Liberation Movement Shri RL Francis, Yogiraj Shri Amar Jyoti, etc.
“His brain would think in many directions at a time. Whatever Sudarshanji spoke, was not to impress anyone, but to give an effective voice to the problems the country and the society is facing. There are certain issues that have been nagging the nation for long. Infiltration in north-eastern states is one among them. Whenever there was agitation on this issue, Sudarshanji spoke on it. Efforts were also made to divide the Bangla and Assamia speaking people in the name of language. But he brought people together and made them understand the consequences of the conflict. By and large he first studied the north-east problems and then made them an issue in the entire country,” Shri Bhaiyaji Joshi said.
Referring to the conflict in Punjab during eighties Shri Joshi said efforts were made in Punjab to develop a gap between the two sections of the Hindu society and also conspiracies were hatched to segregate Punjab from the country. “Sudarshanji studied Shri Guru Granth Saheb and then made people understand that Hindus and Sikhs are no different but one community. Not only this, he sent a large number of Sangh workers to Punjab so that peace could prevail there. Those who are aware of his style of working would know that he used to study both the negative and positive aspects of any problem. He earned a niche in the heart of not only the scholars but also in the ordinary persons through his unique style of working,” he added.
Shri Ashok Singhal said Sudarshanji was firm that country would see a major change after 2012 and this change has begun. “This country is blessed that whenever the evil forces will dominate, the God will incarnate here. Today RSS is the form of God and Sudarshanji was fifth head of the same RSS. RSS is working to materialise the dreams of the great personalities like Aurobindo, Vivekananda, etc. Whatever responsibility he was given, he discharged that with full devotion and dedication.
BJP president Shri Nitin Gadkari said Sudarshanji became an inspiration for many people in the field of bio fuel, bio energy and organic farming. He was in favour of all-round development of the country through swadeshi technology and methods. He even conducted a unique experiment of natural farming at Sangh Karyalaya of Bhopal. By and large he thought for the development of nuclear science to space.
Shri Ashwini Kumar of Punjab Kesari recalled his close association with Sudarshanji and said he had much faith in the cow. He said Sudarshanji wanted to make the indigenous cow as the pivot of Indian farming.
Dr David Frawley described the death of Sudarshanji as a major loss to humanity. “He touched the hearts of many and inspired generations of people. He propagated universal peace. The life he lived is an example to be emulated.
JD(U) leader Shri Arun Srivastava recalled the long association of JD(U) president Sharad Yadav and Sudarshanji. He said Sharadji and Sudarshanji were in the same jail during the Emergency and after that also they continued to meet and discuss many vital issues.
Shri BK Modi described Sudarshanji a noble soul. He said the entire world is going to see a major change in the coming years. The world is looking for Indian vision. We should prepare ourselves to lead the world.
Shri Umer Ahmed Iliyasi recalled how Sudarshanji played a key role in bringing both the Hindus and Muslims together and to eradicate the misconceptions developed among them by vested interests. “Sudarshanji rightly said Muslims in India are not minority. They all are born here and it is also the birth place of all of them. They have not come from Arabia. Our ancestors are also the same. Birth place and ancestors are not changed with the change of way of worship. Sudarshanji worked for strengthening these ties till he breathed his last,” he said adding that Sudarshanji was a great soul which created a revolution in the country.
Sardar Tarlochan Singh said Sudarshanji had a unique kind of brain and he devised certain kinds of activities not possible for the majority of the people. He recalled a meeting between the RSS, VHP and Muslim as well as Christian leaders to eradicate misconceptions to strengthen dialogue. He said when the Sikhs were butchered in Delhi the RSS played a key role in protecting them.
Tibetan leader Smt Dolma Geyari recalled how Sudarshanji fought for the cause of Tibet. Yogiraj Amar Jyoti, Shri Vijay Kapur, Shri RL Francis also spoke. Condolence message were received from Indian Medical Association, Swami Narayan sect, Rashtriya Sikh Sangat, Rashtriya Muslim Manch, Himalaya Parivar, Dharmayatra Mahasangh, Dadhichi Dehdan Samiti, Delhi Arya Pratinidhi Sabha, Shiv Shakti Sewa Samiti, Bharatiya Railway Mazdoor Sangh, etc. (FOC)
