TERMING the UPA government’s decision to open Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in retail trade as a reflection of its total insensitivity towards the common man the Swadeshi Jagran Manch (SJM) organised countrywide protests against it.  The protests were organised by way of dharna, effigy burning and other democratic methods to force the government to withdraw the anti people decision. The SJM urged the government to give up its insensitivity to the common man and withdraw the decisions forthwith.
