Guru Puja function in Chennai
“We should do something for the society. It can be in any form. Hindus should not be left idle. We should organise and make Hindu solidarity. These were the dreams of Swami Vivekananda and let us make his dreams come true,” said veteran Sangh Pracharak Shri Ranga Hari. He was speaking at a Guru Puja function held at Vani Mahal in Chennai on July 22.
Shri Ranga Hari, who is fondly known as Harihattanji, said the concept of worshipping dhwaj symbolises the ideal and we worship our ideal through the flag. RSS is the only organisation where members offer services voluntarily. This teaches dedication. This dedication is only a beginning. Dr Hedgewar coined two valuable principles. One is committed, dedicated, dependable manpower and the other is dependable money potential. Guru Dakshina is not a donation, it is an offering. There is no equivalent translation for this, he said.
Presiding over the function advocate Rajagopal said, “I am proud for two reasons namely – I am a Hindu and being born in Bharat. My association with the RSS dates back to 1980s when I used to regularly attend shakhas. I was away from shakhas as I wanted to attain certain heights in my profession and then I felt that I should do something to the organisation taking the help of my professional knowledge. I an proud that I appeared in Sri Ram Janmabhoomi case in Lucknow Bench,” he said.
