Handling a changing society (Organiser, 29.1.2012); This refers to ‘Handling a changing society’ by MV Kamath in Organiser. He has discussed in detail the “Rapid social changes” specially in female students, who want employment, good salary, late marriages, a husband who earns lakhs of rupees per month but does not desire for progeny. They are not averse to possibility of “live-in” relationship which is a form of prostitution as per Indian culture. In short they are extremely selfish, extravagant, no moral values and consider that they do not have any duty towards their family including husband and children. Shri Kamath suspect that developing technology is the primary cause of this degeneration of society. In fact developing technology is a neutral thing, and can be well utilised for promoting, dharma, if it is in the hands of good people. In Indian philosophy, ‘Dharma, Artha, Kama and Moksha’ are the four principle objects of human life. Technology is in fact “Artha” If it is devoid of “Dharma” it would prove to be a curse. This is exactly, what is happening in India, and else where also. In fact the female students, are victims of wasternisation, thrust upon them by the Congress leadership and the Constitution of India, which has no place for Dharma or virtuous life. Dharma is ridiculed as communal, moral policing , Hindus Talibanism and such derogatory terms. Even Judiciary has given legal sanction to “live-in” relationship. Vulgarity and obscenity is being extolled as fine art and patronised by the government, TV Channels, film industry and in every sphere of life. If the things continue to go like this, we should be prepared to face the worst.

India should not become a tool for West’s hegemony in West Asia (Organiser, 26.2.2012); The article by Rajeev Sharma is highly informative. India is now exposed to a new type of terrorist attack. Similar attacks in Georgia and Thailand seem to point at the possible involvement of Tehran. India must name the involvement of the group or country responsible for the dastardly act as there is no room for compromise where terrorism is concerned. The successful use of magnetic bombs might also motivate other terrorist organisations to resort to the same tactic and our security should be prepared to face it. It is indeed worrisome that a blast occurred once again in Delhi the national capital, this time targeting the car of an Israeli diplomat. The fact that the blast took place in a VVIP area underlines the gravity of the situation. It seems that the UPA government is too much involved in making its tainted image and in elections, not bothered about the security of the country.

SC: No more licence to loot & scoot (Organiser, 12.2.2012); This is with reference to the front page article, ‘SC: No more license to loot & scoot,’ by Aditya Pradhan in Organiser. In this connection I would like to say that since the Supreme Court has cancelled 122, 2G Spectrum licences, UPA has no moral right to remain in power. If UPA has got any shame left it should immediately resign voluntarily. But not only Manmohan Singh but the entire UPA is a gang of shameless, characterless, self -seekers, traitors, communal and extra territorial loyalists, so they are still in power. Supreme Court has held UPA government totally responsible for this massive loot but still UPA government is not feeling guilty. What a shame! Subramanian Swamy had filed a case in the trial court seeking CBI probe in the alleged role of Chidarmbaram in the 2 G Spectrum Scam. But UPA managed to save its skin at the trial court. I wish Subramanian Swamy should take the case to Supreme Court and make this shameless character feel guilty for his sins. Sonia Maino’s name is also coming in this scandal. Records show that 60 per cent of the scandal benefits have gone to her Swiss Bank accounts. India needs a brave heart to drag Sonia Maino to Supreme Court and get her sins cleaned. One more sinner is waiting to be punished is Kapil Sibbal, who first denied any loss to the exchequer due to 2G scandal and is now saying that UPA is not involved in this scandal and only A Raja is the culprit. I would like to say that the article in Organiser is timely and will have desired effect on shameless scoundrels involved in 2G Spectrum Scam, now clearly exposed by judiciary. Thanks to Organiser for the yeoman service to this holy nation and democratic values.

Sri Ram Temple: A symbol of tolerant and multicultural society Religion in the wider sense embraces the universe. There should be no discrimination or sectional prejudices in a healthy society for a healthy society means the unity and brotherhood of entire humanity. While this is so why is the government not allowing Sri Ram’s temple in Ayodhya? The reverential restoration at Ayodhya will be a symbol of a tolerant and multicultural society. Don’t come in the way of a community’s spiritual faith, by refusing the legitimate demand. Has this so-called secular’s heard about the Bahai World Centre at Haifa? It embraces all religions. “God sent prophets such as Abraham, Yoraster, Rama, Krishna, Buddha, Jesus and many more over the ages to enlighten mankind.” Why not our government create a safe haven for everyone to practice and pray in their own way in any form they would like, to lead a harmonious life? The government should by now realise that this burning issue cannot be doused by ignoring or suppressing it for ever. It doesn’t mean that by allowing us to build the temple in Ayodhya, Hindus are upsetting the even tenor of Bharat. Let not our demand be a cry in the wilderness. Let us hope and pray that Shri Mohan Bhagawatji’s dream materialises soon and the temple of Sri Ram in Ayodhya stand as a symbol of tolerance and faith for our motherland Bharat to proclaim to the world that this country is a safe haven for all religions to co-exist without fear or favour or discrimination or prejudice. Secularism has to be understood in the wider sense not in a narrow minded manner as it is being interpreted by self proclaimed “seculars”.

Under UPA-2 India is getting poorer in education too India’s poor ranking in an international annual assessment of students skills should serve as a wake-up call for the country’s educationists as well as the Union Ministry of Human Resources and Development. In the programme for International Student Assessment Test administered by the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development for South-East Asia, India came in second last, performing only slightly better than Kyrgyzstan. This despite the country being represented by students from Himachal Pradesh and Tamil Nadu considered as two of the best performing states in the country in the sphere of education. The fact that educational standards across the country have been falling at a regular pace has also been underscored in the recently published Annual Status of Education Report, 2011. In this context it is imperative that the government should formulate an education policy that lays a larger emphasis on quality. But the UPA regime is busy trying to inject its political propaganda into school textbooks.

Government not serious about punishing ‘honour killings’ Every year, women across the country are sacrificed in the name of family honour, specially in states like Uttar Pradesh and Haryana. Yet the Union government has done precious little to tackle the menace. It has gone through the motion of constituting task forces and expert panels—there is a working group under the Planning Commission and a group of ministers led by the Union Minister for Finance Pranab Mukherjee assigned to deal with the issue—but that has been the end of it. Take for instance the governments’ panel headed by the Women and Child Development Secretary. Earlier this month it recommended that separate law should be promulgated to exclusively deal with the issue of honour killing. But nobody has cared to respond. This is, of course, not entirely surprising, given that the government had earlier effectively ignored the draft of the Prevention of Crimes in the name of Honour and Tradition Bill, 2010 piloted by the former Minister of Women and Child Development, Girija Vyas.

Plight of Indian farmer The other day Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh regaled the Governor’s conference on Indian kisans (farmers), which was chaired by President Pratibha Patil. Talking about the plight of the farmers at the hands of those who force solutions on them, he said, “Ït’s like two doctors who made a quick diagnosis on seeing a limping person. One doctor said that he has a knee problem, the other doctor observed it might be symptoms of paralysis. But the third person said the limping person is a kisan who has lost one chappal (slipper)—this is the status of our kisan after 60 years of Independence. Everyone has a solution but nobody knows what it is. No leg to stand on for our kisan.” And I feel he is cent per cent correct.

Supreme Court ticks off UPA-2 With the Supreme Court castigating Delhi Police for having abused its powers in launching a brutal attack on peaceful protestors who had gathered at the Ramlila Maidan on the night of June 4-5 last year in support of yoga guru Baba Ramdev, the Manmohan Singh government’s credibility has got exposed. This is so because the UPA-2 government had obstinately maintained that no wrong had been committed by the police. Supreme Court has made two statements that should plunge any democratic government to shame. One it observed that the police action had been a show of might by the state against its own people and secondly the incident has shown huge trust deficit between the government and the people of the country. UPA-2 it appears has lost the goodwill of the people and thus it must go.

This pushed the situation beyond our capabilities as the continuing struggle of our father to support the family made him vulnerable to several physical problems. Now he has lost all the physical strength. Our mother earns a peanut and it is hardly enough to support the house-rent.
