RSS Sarsanghachalak Shri Mohan Bhagwat is on his Kerala pravas. During the tour he visited major religious institutes including Mata Amritanandamayi Mutt and Sivagiri Mutt at Varkala, founded by saint-reformer Sree Narayana Guru.

Shri Bhagwat was received by head of the Mutt Swamy Rithambharananda and other sanyasins at the Mutt on February 14.

Shri Bhagwat met Mata Amritanandamayi Devi and reportedly discussed many socio-religious issues with her.

He also offered floral tribute at the samadhi of Sree Narayan Guru and the nearby Sarada Mutt. A major spiritual centre in Kerala, the Sivagiri Mutt was founded by Sree Narayana Guru, the 20th century reformer who profoundly influenced Kerala society through his message of “one caste, one religion and one God for men.”                                (FOC)
