VHP working president Dr Pravin Togadia stressed the need to nip in the bud the religion-based reservation in the country. Speaking at a function organised in Kurukshetra he appealed to the Hindus to get united sinking all differences. He said the clouds of danger are hovering over Hindus and if they don’t wake up to their rights before it is too late, the very survival of the Hindus would be jeopardised thanks to the irrational and sinister policy of Muslim appeasement being pursued by the Congress. The move of the UPA government for granting reservation to Muslims needs to be opposed vehemently and all out efforts must be made to build up pressure on the government to withdraw it. “Reservation on communal basis is totally unjustified, unfair and untenable and must be rolled back wherever it has been executed,” he said.

Senior VHP leader Dr Surendra Jain said the Muslim reservation has been necessitated and executed on the basis of doctored and tailored reports submitted by Rajinder Sachar and Ranganath Misra. Among others who spoke on the occasion included VHP State president Shri Kanti Lal Saini, vice president Dr Jai Singh Gujjar and others.  (By Dr Ganesh Dutt Vats)
