KOLKATA unit of Rashtriya Sikh Sangat, in association with Chhota Gurudwara Guru Ka Bagh, organised a function to educate the young generation with the rich legacy of Sikh Gurus. Speaking on the occasion national president of Sikh Sangat Sardar Gurucharan Singh Gill said the young generation is distracting from Sikh traditions due to the influence of western culture. He appealed to the parents to ensure the participation of their children in religious activities so that they could know the rich Sikh traditions. He said in order to attract the youth to Sikh traditions the Rashtriya Sikh Sangat organised a youth personality development programme in Mumbai recently in which youth from 19 states had participated.
General Secretary of the Sikh Sangat Shri Avinash Jaiswal said Shri Guru Grantha Saheb propagates the message of social harmony. He stressed the need to spread the teachings of the holy book to all the countrymen.
