ELIZABETH George, the author of 16 best sellers with Inspector Thomas Lynley as the hero has come out with a fresh murder mystery This Body of Death. A girl’s body is found in a cemetery. The case is being handled by Isabella Ardery, an ambitious investigator. Lynley is on compassion leave, trying to recover from the murder of his wife and unborn child. He has been walking the Cornish coastline for months, in an attempt for inner peace. He is not sure even he wants to come back to his job. Unable to cope with the office running and the investigations, Isabella coaxes Lynley back to work.
Elizabeth George is a safe bet to pick up. She assures lots of reading material, historical backgrounds, social commentary and intense psychological and emotional ride. Readers are hooked because of the sheer intrigue of the plot that seems at first unconnected, till the puzzle pieces fall into place. The book is voluminous, as most of Elizabeth’s books are and will require leisure to read.
