FOUNDER of the VHP’s Matrishakti Sewa Nyas and active worker of VHP’s women wing Usha Singhal passed away in New Delhi on November 19. She was 81. She was also the sister of VHP president Shri Ashok Singhal. Her brother and former Rajya Sabha MP Shri BP Singhal, vice president of VHP Shri Omprakash Singhal, joint central secretary Shri Ashok Tewari, Shri Subhash Kapoor, Shri BL Sharma ‘Prem’, Shri Satyendra Mohan, Shri Karuna Prakash and many other VHP leaders as well as leader of various organisations paid tribute to the departed soul. In the beginning of Sri Ramjanmabhoomi movement she had authored the first book on history of Sri Ramjanmbhoomi movement and also toured the whole country for the movement from 1987 to 1990. (FOC)
