SMT Padmawati, mother of senior RSS Pracharak and its National Executive Member Shri Indresh Kumar, passed away in Kaithal, Haryana, on May 24. She was 81. She is survived by five sons, one daughter and grandchildren.

Smt Padmawati was a highly religious and service-minded lady. The entire family is associated with many social and religious organisations. Her husband, the late Chamanlal Saraf, was an MLA from Kaithal. The whole family has a long association with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). It was due to the Sangh samskars in the family that the eldest son Shri Indresh Kumar became a full time RSS Pracharak. When Shri Indresh Kumar became a Pracharak he was sent happily by the whole family by performing a yajna.

Similarly, another son Shri Rajesh Saraf is a district Sanghachalak. Shri Ashok Garg is active in Bharat Vikas Parishad while Shri Arun Saraf is active in various other social organisations. Shri Vinod Garg is a CA and is an active worker of the Bharatiya Janata Party. The daughter Smt Rita Goyal lives in Kurukshetra with her family and is an active worker of Rashtriya Sevika Samiti. A condolence meeting will be organised at Maharaja Palace, Kurukshetra Road, Kaithal on June 4.
