Eye surgery section opened at Birsa Sewa Sadan

AN eye surgery centre was opened at Birsa Sewa Sadan, a 25 bedded hospital run by Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram in Lohardaga on Varsha Pratipada, March 16. This project is supported by famous service institution of Mumbai, the Bhansali Trust. National organising secretary of Kalyan Ashram Shri Soumyajulu informed the gathering that the Kayan Ashram with a team of dedicated workers is running more than 14,000 service projects in remote Vanvasi areas of the country. He said the self-help groups run by the Kalyan Ashram generated self-confidence among the women. Shri Sudarshan Bhagat, MP, sanctioned Rs 12 lakh from his development fund to the hospital. ACJM Shri AK Jaiswal, District SP Shri Subodh Prasad and many other distinguished people were also present on the occasion.
