THIS is a Mills & Boon kind of romantic fiction for young girls where the protagonist Nandini, a 21-yar old commerce graduate from Christe Church College in Kanpur, meets Aditya Sarin, who has just returned from United States after studying MBA.

The senior Sarins throw a homecoming party and Nandini does not attend it though her parents participate in the rejoicing. Nandini however has a chance encounter with Aditya. The Sarins are good friends with Nandini’s parents and Nandini lovingly calls Aditya’s mother Badi Maa and often visits her.

As expected, Nandini frequently runs into Aditya and after the usual battle of wits with him, with Aditya winning some and sometimes Nandini getting the better of him, Nandini finds herself falling in love with him.

Meanwhile, Aditya goes abroad and Nandini takes up a job in a company called AAA. Aditya on his return joins the same company as CEO. Though he has the upper hand at being her boss, Nandini does not give in easily when he is in the wrong and her spirit is indefatigable. She mocks certain death (Aditya) and suffers stoically for love (Aditya). One day, when she is unwell, Aditya comes to see her and tells her that he has got engaged to a girl called Gayatri, who is the daughter of the largest granite and marble supplier to Europe. Though devastated to hear this, she puts up a brave front.

After he leaves, her friend Sneha visits her and Nandini cries her heart out and seeks her help. Aditya goes away for two months and on returning to Kanpur, he runs into a pensive Nandini and realises how he had missed her. One day Aditya hears that his fiancée Gayatri has run away with her boyfriend and is not a wee bit sorry about it. He has discovered his true love in Nandini and is only too happy to enter into a matrimonial alliance with her.
