First year Sangh Shiksha Varga of Konkan Prant concluded at Porvorim in Goa on May 31. It was the first ever Sangh Shiksha Varga held in Goa. A total of 165 swayamsevaks participated in the 21-day training camp.
Speaking at the concluding ceremony, Akhil Bharatiya Pracharak Pramukh of RSS Shri Madan Das reminded the swayamsevaks of the goal of welfare of society as well as universal peace. He dwelt extensively on the problems like global warming, terrorism and growing conflicts in the world. He stressed that only the organised strength can bring about a desired change in the world. The training camps serve the need for developing karyakartas who would do shakha work effectively, he said.
The swayamsevaks who underwent training at the camp demonstrated various physical skills like pathsanchalan, niyuddha, yogchap, yogasan, etc. at the concluding ceremony. Shri Suraj Kanekar of Goa Patanjali Yogapeeth Samiti graced the occasion as chief guest. Others present on the dais were Goa Vibhag Sanghachalak Prof. Subhash Velingkar and Vargadhikari Shri Shamrao Desai. (VSK, Mumbai)
