A video showing a group of men harassing an Israeli tourist near Kishangarh has gone viral, prompting Rajasthan Police to arrest four men. One of the accused is heard asking how much the woman would charge for “one shot” after she repeatedly refused their demands for selfies.
Ajmer Police took suo motu cognisance of the video and launched an investigation even though the tourist did not file a formal complaint.
Four arrested after viral video
Police identified the arrested men as Mohammad Farhan, also referred to in some reports as Furqan or Furkhan, Mohammad Asim or Anees, another man named Farhan, and Akhtar Ali.
The accused, aged between 21 and 25, are residents of the Ramner Road area.
Ajmer Superintendent of Police Harshvardhan Agrawala said police acted after the video came to their notice around September 28. A special team was formed to identify those seen in the footage.
Men continued despite woman’s refusal
The footage, reportedly recorded by the Israeli tourist herself, shows several men gathering around her and repeatedly asking for selfies.
The woman can be seen refusing their requests and asking them to leave. Despite this, the men continue surrounding her.

One of them is heard telling another to ask the woman how much she would charge for “one shot”. Police have described the language and conduct captured in the video as obscene and objectionable.
The footage subsequently spread widely on social media, prompting users to tag Rajasthan Police and tourism authorities over concerns about the safety of foreign visitors and women travelling alone.
Incident took place at Kishangarh’s ‘Moonland’
The incident was initially widely reported as having taken place in Pushkar. Police later clarified that the location shown in the video was the Kishangarh marble slurry dumping yard, popularly known as the “Moonland of Rajasthan”.
The site is located in Ajmer district and is part of the broader tourist circuit connecting Kishangarh and Pushkar, which may have led to the incident being identified online as a Pushkar case.
Police trace suspects through technical investigation
Police said the four men were identified with the help of technical surveillance and local intelligence.
According to police, the accused admitted their involvement during questioning and assured investigators that they would not repeat the conduct.
A case has been registered and further investigation is underway.
Questions over when video was recorded
The date on which the incident actually took place remains unclear.
While Rajasthan Police acted after the footage went viral in September 2026, an Israeli report claimed that the encounter was originally recorded in October 2022 and resurfaced online years later.
Police are expected to establish the exact date and circumstances of the recording as part of the investigation.
Pushkar’s long association with Israeli tourists
Pushkar has for years been a popular destination among Israeli backpackers and has a Jewish community presence, including a Chabad House.
The viral video has consequently renewed attention on the safety of Israeli and other foreign tourists visiting popular destinations in Rajasthan.
The case currently relates to the harassment and obscene remarks captured in the footage. Police have not described the arrested men as members of any terrorist or extremist organisation. Further action will depend on the ongoing investigation.
