was organised on March 24 at Panchayat Hall of Viswema village in which over one hundred representatives of 10 villages from Southern Angami area assembled. Addressing the gathering Shri Yose Chaya, president of Japfu Phiki Pfutsana Kehou, narrated the significance of preserving the indigenous Naga culture. He said without religion and culture the identity of Nagas cannot be protected. He called upon the Naga society to revive the indigenous Naga culture, which is fast declining due to conversion to Christianity. The conversion and westernisation have eaten away the Naga ethos.

Speaking on the occasion Shri Jagdamba Mall said the virtuous living, righteousness, spirituality, industrious nature and other human virtues are disappearing fast from Naga society particularly from Naga youths due to confusion created by clash of culture and ideologies. He said everything of indigenous Naga culture has not yet been uprooted. Therefore, the Japfu Phiki Pfutsana Keseko Kehou should play a premier role in educating the Naga society to work for preservation of Naga culture so that the society can lead a virtuous life and evils of the society can be eliminated.

Other speakers underlined the importance of indigenous Naga culture. The practice of folk songs and folk dances marked the occasion. The programme was over after community feast.
