To divert attention from serious infighting going on in the CPM and within LDF, the CPM is resorting to its usual pastime of butchering RSS cadres in the killing fields of Kannur.

CK Shibu (25), a Yuva Morcha and BJP activist and RSS Mukhya Shikshak in Mulur, Mattanoor, Koothuparambu, was having tea and reading a newspaper in a tea shop near his house on March 11, at 8 am, when a CPM goon-gang arrived in a jeep and started attacking him with swords and axes. Both his legs were damaged in the serious attack. Treatment at Thalassery and Kozhikode Medical College Hospital proved futile and he breathed his last. After post-mortem, when his body was being taken in a convoy of vehicles to his house, CPM goons attacked the procession, the BJP office and local RSS karyalaya. Several shops and houses belonging to RSS/BJP men were attacked with country-made bombs on March 11 and 12 in Panur, Mattanoor and Koothuparambu areas injuring even women, children and domestic animals.

On March 12 a casual worker and BMS activist Vinayan (35) was murdered at Kurichikara at 7 pm.

BJP president PK Krishnadas and RSS Sah Prant Pracharak J Nanda Kumar alleged that CPM was carrying out reign of terror to murder RSS-BJP activists in Kannur. ?The Malur, Thillankery attacks were unprovoked and pre-planned. The goonda gangs involved in smuggling liquor and sand were behind these murders. In Thillankery two hands of an RSS boy were chopped off. The Kannur SP Sreejith'spolice jeep was attacked with bombs by CPM goons. About 20 houses of RSS men, BJP mandal and RSS karyalayas were destroyed. The CPM Home Minister Kodiyeri Balakrishnan is allegedly involved directly in the attacks. Police are arresting innocent RSS workers and ravaging their homes in the name of weapons? search.?

As an indication of the CPM-jehadi bhai-bhai, NDF workers stabbed RSS workers Shayuj and Sasankan in the district hospital premises. Both are in a serious condition in Kozhikode Medical College Hospital. They also looted and attacked shops in Kannur and set fire to a huge furniture showroom, causing loss of crores of rupees.

Meanwhile, police recovered 42 steel bombs with immense destructive capacity at Kutteri in Panur, a CPM stronghold, on March 18.

RSS and BJP leaders have warned of a massive retaliation, if CPM continues with its murder politics.
