Deendayal Research Institute (DRI) organised a seminar in New Delhi on Indigenous Form of Governance. Speakers participating in the seminar said the country may have achieved Independence but the people are still waiting for the governance, which can solve their problems. They said the rich and centuries old time-tested form of governance existed in our villages could show the way if we truly need a clean and efficient form of governance.
Former Member of Planning Commission Shri Lakshmichand Jain and former Vice Chancellor of Tirupati Rashtriya Sanskrit Vishwavidyalaya Prof. V.R. Panchmukhi stressed the need to develop the feeling of responsibility for better administration. Dr Kusumlata Kedia of Gandhi Vidya Sansthan, Varanasi, stressed the need to spread education. Shri Anil Madhav Dave of Madhya Pradesh said the history gave us many chance to change but we did not take their benefit. Dr Bharat Pathak, Chief Secretary of DRI, presented a detailed report on the self-reliance activities being carried out by DRI in 500 villages around Chitrakoot.
