RSS Sarsanghachalak Shri KS Sudarshan said no section of the society should remain weak. He was addressing a gathering of 125 Maulanas and Ulemas in New Delhi on November 2. He said politics should be kept away from religious matters. Whenever the Muslim leaders preferred politics instead of the religion they went away from the teachings of Islam. He congratulated the Ulemas for accepting the truth that they are not minority in this country because it only increased distance between the two communities during the last 60 years.
The Ulemas and Maulanas present at the Insaniyat Conference unanimously declared that they are not minority in India as their forefathers belonged to this land for centuries. The conference was organised by Muslim Rashtriya Manch. Prominent Muslims intellectuals, Ulemas and Maulanas who participated in the conference included Shri Tanvir Ahmed, Maulana Jamil Ahmed Iliyasi, Maulana Lukman, Pirjada Sibli Qasmi, Taib Hussein, Mohammad Afzal, Mohd. Salawat Khan, Maulana Umer Ahmed Iliyasi, former Vice Chancellor of Agra University Dr Hamidullah Khan and former IAS N.K. Khan. RSS National Executive Member Shri Indresh Kumar, president of VHP Shri Vishnu Hari Dalmia, Swami Yatindaranand and Kaka Hari from Swami Ramteerth Mission were also present.
The Ulemas also raised their voice against cow slaughter. The Qureshi community declared at the conference that anyone form the community who is found indulged in cow slaughter would be boycotted from the community and also would be fined up to Rs 10,000.
Shri Vishnu Hari Dalmia raised the issues of Shri Ramjanmabhoomi in Ayodhya, Shri Krishan Janmasthan in Mathura and Shri Kashi Vishwanath temple in Vanaras and said if Muslims leave their claim over these three temples the Hindus would not claim over any other temple. Most of the Maulanas supported this proposal. (FOC)
