During the agitation for a separate state the people of Uttarakhand basically struggled against three things?rampant corruption, lack of development and unemployment. The Government of Uttarakhand headed by Chief Minister Major General (retd.) B.C. Khanduri tackled all these problems very effectively. There is no chance of getting any job in the state government now either by bribing anyone or with recommendations. Twenty-eight thousand posts have been filled during the eighteen months of the new government assuming the office but there is not even a single complaint of corruption. The Government is doing every possible thing to achieve those objectives that the andolankaris had set before themselves while fighting for the new state.
