Maharshi Charak had said that earning money should not be the objective of a medical professional rather he should treat a patient to fulfill his duty. In order to remind such ethics of medical science to the medical professionals the National Medicos Organisation (NMO) organised a function in Varanasi on October 15. Prof. A.K. Shukla, Medical Superintendent of Sir Sunderlal Hospital, said Ayurveda has attracted the whole world towards it as it not only cures a disease but also tells a per son how to stay fit. He said India has a priceless legacy of Ayurveda but unfortunately the countrymen are running after the West. If efforts are made, the miracles of Ayurveda can wonder the whole world.
Prof. V.K. Joshi, Dean of Ayurveda Department, said the organisation is rendering good services all over the country. He called upon the students to join hands with the organisation. Highlighting the life of Maharshi Charak, Prof. K.N. Divvedi called upon the medical students to follow the ideals of Maharshi Charak. Prof. N. Ganguli, Head of Pediatrics Department in BHU spoke about the Charak Samhita. Prof. P. Sharma spoke about the behaviour and attitude of a doctor towards a patient. Prof.V.K.
