Veteran social worker Shri Nanaji Deshmukh called upon the people to adopt at least ten families of their surrounding areas and help them overcoming their problems. He was speaking at a workshop organised on the problems of working women at Udyamita Vidyapeeth in Chitrakoot. The workshop was held from September 13 to 15. Organised by Akhil Bharatiya Mahila Samanvya Vibhag of RSS, the workshop was attended by 168 delegates belonging to 17 organisations. It includes 20 male workers also. Pramukh Sanchalika of Rashtra Sevika Samiti Pramilatai Medhe, veteran Sangh Pracharak Shri Shrikant Joshi and chief of Akhil Bharatiya Mahila Samanvya Vibhag Geetatai Gunde addressed the delegates at the workshop.
?Select at least 10 deprived families of your locality and start visiting them regularly. Develop close relations with them and then help them solving their problems so that they can stand on their own feet. It will infuse a new sense of awakening in the society,? Nanaji added.
Earlier, inaugurating the workshop, Pramilatai Medhe said the person who does not regard Bharat Mata as his mother cannot regard any woman as mother. She also appealed to the delegates to visit the remote and backward areas and help the people in solving their problems.
Talking about the problems of working women, Geetatai Gunde said women have been working in our country since the ancient time. Since they always worked without any honorarium they had been described as Grihalakshmi in our shastras. In today'schanging time the women should get the opportunity to work as per their talent and nature. Working women must get the benefit of flexi-timings, as they have to look after their family also. National vice president of BMS Geetatai Gokhale and national organising secretary of Vidya Bharati Shri Brahmdev Sharma ?Bhaiji? also addressed the delegates. The workshop discussed the problems of working women in BPOs, call centres, farm sector and other professions also.
