NOTED lawyer, former Kshetra Sanghachalak of RSS Madhya Bharat Prant and former national president of Akhil Bharatiya Adhivakta Parishad, Uttamchand Isarani passed away in Bhopal on December 5. He was 84. He had suffered a heart attack in Jabalpur recently and had been admitted to Chirau Hospital of Bhopal. He was cremated at Chhola Vishramghat of Bhopal on December 6.

Born on November 10, 1923 at Miyan Jo Goth village under Sakkhar district of Sindh (now in Pakistan) Isaraniji settled in Bhopal after Partition. He became a swayamsevak in his childhood. He held various responsibilities in the Sangh?Vibhag Karyavah, Prant Karyavah, Prant Sanghachalak and later Kshetra Sanghachalak. He had relinquished the responsibility of Kshetra Sanghachalak about one year back due to growing age and health reasons. He was national president of Akhil Bharatiya Adhivakta Parishad from 2000 to 2006.

Kshetra Sanghachalak Shrikrishan Maheshwari and Prant Sanghachalak Shri Rashibhai Sheth while paying tribute described the death of Isaraniji as a great loss for the Sangh.

Shri Suryakrishan, national organising secretary of Adhivakta Parishad, described the death of Isaraniji as a great loss for the Parishad. ?He was a role model for innumerable advocates. More than 100 advocates worked with him and regarded him as their guardian. He set new standards in this profession, which earned him fame across the country. He had been designated as senior advocate recently. He also fought for the problems of Sindhi society,? he added.

Shri Rajesh Gogna, general secretary of Delhi Pradesh Adhivakta Parishad, said Isaraniji always stressed on ?professional excellence? and ?social responsibility?. He always reminded the advocates what they are doing for the last man of the society.

Isaraniji was fully dedicated to the Sangh work. His residence in Sindhi Colony had been used as Prant Karyalaya for years. He was always in forefront of social activities. He had been in jail for 19 months during the Emergency. He earned respect not only in the Sangh circle but also outside due to his commitment, simplicity and good behaviour.
