Ong back in a village called Soron, Uttar Pradesh, there lived a Brahmin called Atmaram Dubey?along with his wife. His wife gave birth to a baby boy soon after which she died. When Atmaram Dubey showed the horoscope of the baby to an astrologer, he was told that the stars of the new born are malignant for the family. Hearing this prediction Atmaram Dubey abandoned the new born baby.
The baby was adopted by an ayah, maid servant. Some months later the maid also passed away. After the death of the maid her husband also abandoned the little boy. The little boy became an orphan and used to wander from place to place in search of food and shelter. Seeing the pathetic condition of the child, a hermit called Narharidas took the custody of the child. He played the role of guardian and a teacher to the child and named him Rambola. He inspired Rambola to meditate upon Sri Ram for which he introduced him to Acharya Shesh Sanatan in Varanasi and soon Rambola become perfect in the subject.
On the behest of his guru Rambola got married to a beautiful girl called Ratnavali. Rambola who was pronounced unfortunate and abandoned by all found true love at last. Once when Ratnavali went to her parents house Rambola could not bear the separation from her even for a day. The same night he went to his wife'sparents house. Ratnavali, quite annoyed with Rambola said angrily, ?Had you concentrated upon Sri Ram with such devotion he would have appeared in front of you.? Rambola pondered over the statement made by his wife and went to Prayag in search of Sri Ram. He started reading the scriptures and soon became a very learned man.
Children do you know who Rambola was? Yes, the boy Rambola in the story was none other than, Tulsidas who penned the Ramcharitmanas.
