Shaikshik Sangh opposes sex education

National Executive meeting of Akhil Bharatiya Rashtriya Shaikshik Mahasangh (ABRSM) that met at Vivekananda Kendra, Kanyakumari, has warned the central government not to introduce sex education system in the country at all. The meeting said the sex education if introduced in present form would prove a suicidal step. The national executive further warned if the government does not withdraw it, all-teacher federations of the country would stage massive protest in front of the Parliament and in other parts of the country.

A total of 75 representatives from 20 prants participated in the meeting, which concluded on September 1. Swami Parameswarananda Maharaj of Vivekananda Kendra inaugurated the meeting by lighting the traditional lamp. The meeting was presided over by national president Shri Narahari. Shri Mukundrao Kulkarni, organising secretary, Shri Mahendra Kapoor, general secretary, Shri Vimal Prasad Agrawal and Smt. Sanjivini Raykar, both vice presidents, were also present on the occasion.

In a resolution, the meeting urged both the central and state governments to rationalise the salary structure of teachers and take appropriate measures to ensure that there is no reduction at any stage in the income of retired teachers.  (FOC)
