BJP chief Shri Rajnath Singh condemned the DMK leaders? attack on the BJP office in Chennai, saying freedom of expression does not allow blasphemy. ?Violence has no room in a democratic set-up. The DMK'sattack exposes political fascism?, said Shri Rajnath Singh while interacting with the mediapersons in Bhopal. He urged the central leadership of the UPA to intervene and stop its ally (DMK) for resorting to vandalism and warned that the ruling alliance would be held responsible for this.
BJP chief in his presidential address to the national executive said, the Prime Minister, who is soft towards terrorism, can speak about zero tolerance. He said: ?However, the PM should make it clear what is the limit of his tolerance towards the common man who is reeling under the killing impact of inflation and farmers who are committing suicide under the crushing burden of debts.?
Speaking on the national security, he remarked: ?What is extremely disturbing is that when one carefully analyses the internal and external security of the country, the telltale signs of politicisation of national security and stratagic interests at the altar of blatant vote bank politics is starkly evident by a government whose only claim to success is a sordid story of lack of political will to find solutions that solve the challenges before the nation.?
The BJP chief said: ?By disrespecting Lord Rama, the Congress party has taken vote bank politics to its lowest point. The PM should publicly apologise for the unpardonable crime of politically playing with people'sbeliefs. My demand for an apology is not for political reasons but is based on our reverence towards India'seternal beliefs since not even the foreign rulers of the country under colonial rule had the courage to reject the existence of Lord Rama. Then why is this happening under this Congress-led government?
