A large number of women belonging to Rashtra Sevika Samiti have resolved to protect the environment. Women and children participating in the function were provided various kinds of saplings. Organised at the Raghunath temple of Krishna Nagar (Shahadra) the function also witnessed various cultural activities. According to Smt. Kavita Vishnoi, Vibhag Karyavahika of the Samiti, women were tied the raksha sutras. Sushri Poonam, Prant Pracharika of the Samiti, was chief guest on the occasion. She explained the importance of Teej and also called upon the women for protection of environment. (FOC)
