Vidya Bharati honours toppers in Orissa

Shiksha Vikas Samiti, a unit of Vidya Bharati, organised a function in Bhubneswar on July 1 to honour the toppers of Vidya Bharati schools in Orissa. Felicitating the talented students Orissa School and Mass Education Minister Bishnu Charan Das congratulated the toppers and hoped that the students would continue to perform well in their further studies. It may be noted here that as many as 5,003 students of 116 Saraswati Vidya Mandirs had appeared the HSC examination and 4,772 students at an average of 96 per cent have passed the examination. Out of the results, as many as 3,315 students passed with first division, whereas pass percentage stands at 67 per cent followed by 1,066 students passed with second division at an average of 22 per cent and 7 per cent students have passed with third division as figure stands at 391. Similarly, 51 Schools recorded cent percent results, 17 School recorded not a single second division student. Vice Chancellor, Orissa University of Agriculture and Technology Prof. Devi Prasad Ray attended the function as guest of honour.  (VISAKEO)
