A samarasta daur (run for social harmony) was organised at Sulatanpuri in Delhi to celebrate the birth centenary of Shri Guruji. More than 1500 youth participated in the race. An art competition, in which over 1500 students participated, was also organised the same day. After these events, a Hindu sammelan was organised in which over 20,000 local people participated. Before the sammelan a kalash yatra of over 5000 women was taken out in the locality. Addressing the Hindu sammelan, Shri Dinesh Chandra Tyagi, general secretary of Hindu Mahasabha, stressed the need for Hindu unity to resolve all the problems the nation is facing today. Shri Vishwanath Pande, convenor of the sammelan and Shri Hariom Khandelwal also addressed the sammelan. The sammelan was followed by a cultural programme by school students. (FOC)
