?India needs to show her strength if she wishes to resolve the problems of the world. We will have to dedicate our talent for the public welfare only then we shall be able to face the onslaughts. It is not the knowledge that is important but how much of it is used for public welfare is the most important question. In this regard the life of Deendayal Upadhyaya can be followed. He dedicated his whole life for the welfare of the society,? said Shri Mohan Bhagwat, Sarkaryavah of RSS. He was speaking at a function held in Nagaur, Rajasthan, to present the 17th Pt. Deendayal Upadhyaya Sahitya Samman on October 5. Noted literary person Dr Dev Kothari was honoured with this award this year. The award consists of a cash prize of Rs 11,000, a citation and shawl.
Speaking on the occasion, Shri Kidar Nath Sahani, former Governor of Goa and Sikkim said a deep-rooted conspiracy is being hatched to cut the Indians from their roots. Efforts are also being made how we forget our eternal values of life. The opposition to Vande Matarm is part of this conspiracy. Dr Mahesh Chandra Sharma, president of Rajasthan BJP, said Deendayalji wanted to Indianise the Indian politics and social policies. He said the integral humanism of Deendayalji connects an individual with the society. Speaking after his honour, Dr Dev Kothari said it is the honour of the tradition and ideology that worship the objective and not the individual. (FOC)
