Smriti granth in the memory of Babu Dalip Chand Gupt, the noted social worker, lawyer and founder president of Vidya Bharati, was released in Gurgaon recently. The 700-page book contains articles by dozens of eminent people highlighting Babuji'sinspirational impact on their lives. Babuji became the Vanprasthi Swayamsevak with the inspiration of Shri Guruji and continued to work for the nation till he breathed his last. He was also father of former Uttar Kshetra Sanghachalak of RSS Jitendra Veer Gupt. The function was attended by several luminaries including Shrikant Joshi, veteran Sangh Pracharak, Dr Bajranglal Gupt, Kshetra Sanghachalak of RSS, Shri Dinanath Batra, vice president of Vidya Bharati, Prof. Ravindra, reputed physicist, Prof. Dharmpal Maini, editor of five-volume encyclopedia of human values, Justice Hemant Gupta, Shri Uday Bhanu ?Hans?, noted poet, Shri Avinash Jaiswal, organising secretary of Rashtriya Sikh Sangat, etc. Several social workers were also honoured with Bharat Bhushan award at the function. They include Shri Uday Bhanu ?Hans?, Dr Shiv Kumar Khandelwal, editor, Ultra Health, Shri Vidya Sagar, former financial controller in Moolchand Hospital, Shri Kapoor Chand Agrawal, President, Sewa Bharati, Chandigarh, Prof. Shyam Sunder, founder of Shri Ram Nam Sumiran Satsang, Sardar Chiranjiv Singh, founder of Rashtriya Sikh Sangat and Shri Krishan Kumar Baweja, Sah-Prant Pracharak of Delhi.
